Abstract
The disclosure provides an end assembly (1) for closing an end of a cylindrical secondary cell (2). The end assembly (1) comprises a plate shaped base portion (11), a breakable portion (12) arranged in the base portion (11), and a protruding portion (IB). The protruding portion (IB) comprises a side wall (131) comprising at least one opening (132) and a top surface (133) for connecting an external load. The protruding portion (13) is arranged around the breakable portion (12). The end assembly (1) provides a close to a cylindrical secondary cell (2) with venting functionality while still being few parts that may be preassembled. Also disclosed are a cylindrical secondary cell (2), a system (3) comprising the cell, and energy storage system comprising the system (3) and a vehicle (4) comprising the system (3).
