Abstract

A system for tying together the reinforcing bars of a substantially vertical reinforcing grid (3), comprising a twisting machine (4) for tying the bars together at intersections of the grid by means of a wire. The system comprises a slide rod (10), a weight counter balancing means (17) and at least two fastening means (20), which fastening means are arranged to engage a horizontal bar (1) of the grid and to support the slide rod, which slide rod is arranged to slidably support the balancing means which is arranged to support the twisting machine. The invention also concerns a method for tying together such reinforcing bars.
