Abstract

The threaded part (16) contains turns (19) having the same external diameter (YD) and pitch (P). The front region of the threaded part core (21) closest to the front end (17) of the screw (6) has a cone shape, the narrow end (MD) of the cone being at the front end. The turns have truncated tops (23) and the width (b1-b7) of these tops increases away from the front end of the screw. The width (B1-B6) of the grooves (20) in between the turns reduces as the turn top width increases. Independent claims are also included for (a) a method for forming the screw threading, and (b) a drill for boring holes for the screw.
