Изобретение относится к сельскому хозяйству, в частности к способам удобрения почвы при выращивании пропашных культур, например картофеля. Целью изобретения является повышение урожайности и качества картофеля за счет обеспечения эффективного применения микробного препарата и компоста для удобрения растений картофеля и улучшения условий развития корневой системы картофеля. Способ удобрения картофеля включает внесение микробного препарата, смешанного с компостом, на поверхность почвы перед посевом в зону будущего рядка растений лентой в предварительно сформированные борозды с последующей их заделкой, при этом смешивание микробного препарата с компостом осуществляют в процессе их внесения в рядок в соотношении: мас.ч. :1:8,000 - 15,000.
