Abstract
Description
The drainage and humidification system relates to the field of melioration using fibrous drainage in the form of casingless melioration water conduits, and is intended to collect and drain the optimal volume of excess water from the aeration zone of waterlogged soils and underlying soils with a heavy granulometric composition in a protectorate area. The invention relates to the field of hydraulic engineering and can be used in drainage systems for the melioration of agricultural lands, as well as industrial, urban, village, suburban garden and household areas subject to flooding or with excessive moisture, as well as in the design, construction and operation of special drainage and humidification systems for two-way regulation of the soil moisture regime.
Известна осушительная система, устройство которой заключается в прокладке в грунте или почве траншеи с заданным уклоном, выравнивании дна, на которое производят укладку трубы с щелыгой, обернутой защитно-фильтрующим материалом, с обкладкой стыков труб фильтрующим материалом, с присыпкой дренажной трубы над ее шелыгой водопроницаемым рыхлосвязным супесчано-песчаным почвогрунтом, срезаемым с бровок траншеи (Авторское свидетельство RU 219530).A drainage system is known, the device of which consists of laying a trench in the ground or soil with a given slope, leveling the bottom, on which a pipe is laid with a slit wrapped in protective filtering material, with the lining of the pipe joints with filtering material, with the filling of the drainage pipe above its slit with water-permeable loosely bound sandy loam-sandy soil, cut from the edges of the trench (Author's certificate RU 219530).
The disadvantage of this invention is that drainage can only be installed outside of structures and in open ground. The pipeline drains excess water only at sufficient slopes, and at low flow rates, active silting begins.
Drainage devices for localized garden plots and urban buildings are known. Wall drainages are drainage devices that cover the contours of the protected structures with their filter elements. They are drainage pipes with filter backfill that are laid on the outside of building foundations. Wall drainages are used to protect foundations or basements of buildings located on aquicludes from flooding.
Unlike linear horizontal drainages, sheet drainages are flat drainage devices. They are used to protect basements of buildings if there is an aquifer underneath them, when the bottom of the pit does not reach the aquifer. Such drainages can be used to protect urban underground utilities (transport tunnels, heating mains, underground reservoirs). Sheet drainages are installed simultaneously with the construction of the structures being protected. After excavating a pit for a building, layers of coarse sand and gravel are laid at its base, and the same layers are poured behind the outer contours of the building. Drainage pipes are laid in the filter backfill.
Vertical drainage devices are known - boreholes that completely or partially cut through the aquifer, which can be used to protect the territories of populated areas from flooding. The walls of the borehole are fixed with casing pipes, a filter is installed in the lower part, and water is removed from the borehole by pumping. According to the location in the plan, a distinction is made between an area (systematic) arrangement of vertical drainage boreholes, a linear arrangement - when a line of boreholes intercepts the ground flow, selective or single. To enhance the effect of vertical drainage, vacuuming is used. In the practice of draining the territories of populated areas, airlift systems are also used, when air is supplied to the borehole through an air pipe under pressure. The water-air mixture rises to the surface due to its lower density.
The disadvantage of known drainage systems is that when draining soils with a heavy granulometric composition, drainage cannot lower groundwater to the required drying rate in a short period of time and drain surface water from microdepressions in the standard time, due to which the root-inhabited layer becomes oversaturated with moisture.

A method is known for draining waterlogged heavy soils using closed drains (Patent RU 2393292 C1, E02B 11/00 .; 2008), which includes carrying out landscaping work, constructing a closed collector and sparse parallel drains, planning the soil surface and deep loosening of the soil in two mutually perpendicular directions at an angle of 45 degrees to the direction of the drains.
The general disadvantage of the known methods of drainage of heavy, poorly permeable soils by closed drainage, including the prototype, is that they do not take into account the change in the regime of waterlogging and drying of soil horizons in the developing hydrological conditions.
Основной отличительной особенностью данных труб является то, что при монтаже не требуется щебень, так как, роль щебня выполняет наполнитель (Патент на полезную модель RU 177754).The closest to the invention (the closest analogue-prototype) in terms of the set of essential features is the invention of a drainage pipe with a filter filler made of polystyrene. The internal diameter of 10 mm, external diameter of 250 mm includes a drainage pipe, which is surrounded by a filler made of expanded polystyrene. Expanded polystyrene and the pipe are wrapped with a filter element of geotextile. Geotextile is used as a filter that prevents clogging of water intake holes on the pipe and protects the filler of the drainage system from sand and soil particles getting into it, thereby increasing the efficiency and service life of the drainage system many times over. The main distinctive feature of these pipes is that crushed stone is not required during installation, since the filler plays the role of crushed stone (Patent for Utility Model RU 177754).
The main disadvantage of the known solution is the laying of short, ready-made pipes in 3-meter sections in a trench and their connection with drainage couplings, which does not take into account local conditions and complicates the construction process, especially if there are objects in drained areas.
An analysis of known technical solutions has shown that the technical problem in this area is the need to expand the range of means used for drainage on low-permeability soils with a heavy granulometric composition during periods of increased moisture saturation of soil horizons.

The system consists of intersecting at an angle of 45° to 90° transverse tiers of intercepting linear water conduits-moisture exchangers made of fibrous substrate and a longitudinal centrally located transport collector made of plastic pipes or fibrous substrate, as well as a submersible pump unit with automatic control and a discharge tract pumping excess water. The drainage and humidification system device operates as follows - a drop-liquid suspension or flow due to the difference in humidity potentials from moisture-saturated soil is filtered through the open pore space of the surface of the fibrous substrate 2. On the outer edge of the water-exchange surface, a drop-liquid suspension is formed in the form of a flow, while dissolved suspended solid particles of the soil are filtered and retained in the upper layers of the fibrous substrate. Separate water streams seep into the body of the water conduit 2 through flow pores, where a concentrated drainage runoff is directly formed. Then, the formed drainage runoff through the open pore space of the fibrous substrate along the slope of the water conduit enters the end well 8 through the valve 3 in the form of an electromagnetic valve. The valve is open in the normal position. It is closed when a stable drought occurs to create a sluicing effect of the groundwater level in the zone of influence of the fibrous substrate. In the water-receiving well 7, excess moisture accumulates in a small volume and almost instantly flows by gravity through the transit pipelines of the central collector into the common water-collecting well 8. Then, the concentrated drainage flow is pumped by means of a submersible pump unit 9 from the water-collecting well along the water-discharge tract 11 to the mouth structure 12, located on a natural water intake, usually a river or a stream.
The necessary technological elements of the drainage and humidification system are the submersible pump unit 9 and the discharge pipeline tract 11 with the wellhead structure 12, which remove excess water beyond the site into a natural water intake. This is due to the recessed position of the end water collection well 8, into which the drainage flow enters from the site, which does not have a gravity water outlet due to the absence (as a rule) of a common border with the water intake. Regeneration of the absorption and water-conducting capacity of the fibrodrains is carried out by blowing with compressed air and creating an airlift. This process is ensured by using a compressor 15 and a network of air hoses 16, distributing compressed air to each fibrodrain.
18.Regeneration of the pore space on the surface is ensured by organizing a reverse flow of water for washing due to a backwash or airlift - blowing the body of the fibrous substrate with compressed air. For this purpose, a well 6 is arranged in the head of the water exchanger, into which compressed air is distributed through hoses from the compressor 15, and the supply directly to the body of the fibrous substrate occurs through an automatically controlled nozzle 18.
Compared to the prototype, the proposed device will allow, when conditions change and a moisture deficit is formed, to ensure an optimal water-air regime in the root-inhabited soil layer by sluicing the runoff with end valves 3 on fibro-drains 2, which are water-conducting elements when a reverse flow is formed with the created backwater.
6.Preliminary and prolonged drainage measures include the installation of an intercepting catch drain 5 along the upper boundary of the protectorate area to collect and divert surface runoff from adjacent territories beyond the line of embankments by protective dams from flooding from the side of the natural watercourse. After the installation of a permanent network, water from the catch drains is diverted to the nearest water collection well 6.
To install the system, after the route has been drained, horizontal wells with a given diameter and slope are immediately drilled in sections. In the well cavities formed during horizontal drilling, a fibrous substrate body is formed by dry gunning. This method of implementing the invention is its distinctive feature and is extremely effective for real situations where buildings have been erected on the site or there are perennial plantings that prevent the development of open trenches.
The straight-line intersection of the fibre-drain routes and collectors is due to the specifics of performing work with horizontal drilling rigs. When organizing the routes of water pipes for fibre-drains, a double-slope slope is provided towards the collector, laid in the middle of the drainage area with the expectation of ensuring gravity drainage from the boundaries of the area to the common water-collecting end inspection well from which pumping is performed beyond the limits of the protectorate area.
The distance between the fibre ditch 2 routes is usually 20...50 m, the specific value is determined by calculation, which takes into account the drainage rate and the permissible time of water drainage. The length of the fibre ditch is taken within 20...100 m according to the conditions of uniform water exchange, as well as according to the conditions of work during horizontal drilling and the boundaries of the site.
The cross-sectional size of the fidrodren 2 is determined by water management calculations. The cross-section of a horizontal drilling well has an effective diameter within the range of -100…350 mm. Wells are developed at a given depth from 0.3 to 1.5 m with a calculated slope.
In the head and end parts of the water pipeline, before the start of its construction, inspection wells 6 and 7 are mounted for supplying compressed air and discharging water along the drainage tract, respectively. The well designs used are of the recessed type made of plastic and are accepted as typical for this type of drainage systems. The equipment of the head inspection wells is supplemented by the device of an automatically controlled nozzle 18 for supplying compressed air into the porous body of the fibrodrain. The head well is arranged to be hermetically sealed from all sides of the bottom and walls.
The inspection well 7 is located at the intersection of the extreme route of the fiber drain with the collector route. The depths of the wells are determined by the marks of the bottom of the outlet collector pipe. Wells of this type are a water receiver for adjacent fiber drains. In the further process, water from the well is diverted through the transit water conduit of the collector towards the location of the common end water collection well 8 of the system.
The design equipment of the end well 8 is similar to the head wells, in which standardized parts and elements can be used, but there are significant differences. The end well 8 does not provide for a stationary compressed air plant. The end entrance of the fiber drain into the cavity of the well is equipped with an automatically adjustable discharge valve 3 to control the operating mode, which allows creating a humidifying effect or two-way humidity control. The presence of automatic control valves on the fiber drains transforms the system into a drainage and humidifying one due to the possibility of implementing sluicing of the groundwater level. There can be 1, 2 or 3 automatic valves - this determines the size and design of the end well.
A significant difference of the invention is the arrangement of the bottom of the end well from a water-permeable fibrous substrate of increased bearing capacity, i.e. the well in this system performs the functions of dewatering on a local adjoining section. If necessary, in case of increased moisture saturation of soil horizons, pumping of accumulated drainage waters is organized from the end wells by means of portable submersible pumping units 9. This technological case is structurally provided at the design stage.
For the proposed invention of the drainage and humidification system, the main regulating structure is the common end inspection well 8. The transit pipe of the collector and the fiber drains are connected to it through the regulating valves 3. A significant difference is the placement in the well of a submersible pumping unit 9 with an automatic switching system 10 for removing excess water beyond the protectorate area. The submersible pumping unit 9 is selected according to standard parameters and permissible dimensions for placement in the well and is the head element of the system for artificially pumping out excess water volumes. Other elements are a water-discharge tract 11 in the form of a polyethylene pipe, a wellhead non-eroding structure 12 and a water intake section.
18.To ensure the reliability of the system operation, compressed air production and distribution equipment is installed. Compressed air is used to blow through the fibrodrains from their beginning and along their entire length to regenerate the pore space from possible silting and accelerate the flow at increased moisture saturation of the soil horizons. This system includes a pumping compressor 15, a network of air hoses 16, tee-distributors 17, and automatically adjustable nozzles 18.
The power supply and automatic switching device of the submersible pump unit are cable power lines 13 for transmitting the corresponding voltages and current from the power source and remote control panel 14. The device of the control panel 14 is assembled with the calculation to ensure automation of processes for regulating the humidity mode and controlling the technological elements of the drying and humidification system. Automatically controlled valves are electromagnetic valves of the corresponding design, and the air supply nozzles are also automatically controlled. Flow meters, level meters and pressure sensors are remotely connected to the control panel.
The economic and ecological effect of the proposed invention is achieved by organizing a protected drained territory and installing a closed water-collecting regulating network of shell-less melioration water conduits-moisture exchangers and water-discharge pipelines. The useful effect is achieved as a result of the removal of a calculated amount and promptly in terms of time volume of excess waters outside the protected area, as well as regulation of the optimal level of moisture in the dry season.
Compared with the prototype, the proposed device will ensure an increase in the technological reliability of the drainage and humidification system on low-permeability soils with a heavy granulometric composition and their saturation with a moisture deficit in the prevailing natural and climatic conditions.
