Abstract

FIELD: radio engineering and communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telephone communication, in particular, to methods for notifying subscribers of a mobile radio communication network (MRCN) about an incoming call, and can be used in CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE networks. An additional hardware and software unit implementing additional types of service in the MRCN receives an information message about an incoming call from the switching unit of the MRCN, extracts data about a calling subscriber and a called subscriber from it, transmits it through the internal interfaces of the hardware and software unit implementing the STK software interfaces, STK unit receives additional information about the calling subscriber from the caller identifier, generates a message for the called subscriber with additional information about the calling subscriber and sends it to the MRCN for display to the called using the SIM STK technology.

Description

The invention relates to the field of telephone communications, in particular, to methods for notifying subscribers of mobile radio networks (SPRS) of an incoming call can be used in CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE networks.

The SPRS functionality regarding notification of a subscriber about an incoming call is relevant for operators. Often, especially trade organizations, make advertising calls to attract customers, and only on their own initiative, without any reason and coordination with the subscriber. Such intrusive behavior of commercial organizations makes the subscriber ignore incoming calls from numbers unknown to him. In this case, the subscriber may miss a person who is useful to him from the organization whose number is not in his contact list and with whom he temporarily interacts at work or in person. For example, a car owner can expect an incoming call from a car service and ignore it due to busyness and the habit of not answering unfamiliar numbers.

State opposition to telephone spam, the laws "On Advertising" and "On Personal Data" do not correct the situation. A set of organizational and technical measures is needed to enable the subscriber to receive information about the incoming subscriber and the purpose of his call for a quick decision on the answer.

The Calling Name Presentation (CNAP) feature is described by ETSI (ETSI TS 101394 V7.0.0 (1999-08)) in the CAMEL standard set. But this functionality was not accepted by mobile operators due to the complexity of the software and hardware refinement of network equipment.

The “Who Calls?” Mobile application from Kaspersky Lab is known, which is a caller ID based on user database information. The disadvantage of this solution is the need to install a separate application, register an account, install updates, it takes the subscriber’s time and MS resources, the need to reinstall it when changing MS (mobile station). This solution requires the MS support dual-mode mode, which is not supported by all MS.

A generalized solution is needed, which does not imply difficulties for operators to introduce SPRS in terms of hardware and software refinement of equipment and is available to SPRS subscribers as a simple communication functionality. The technical implementation of such a solution is expedient through the SIM Application ToolKit (STK) mechanisms that are defined in the ETSI TS 101267 recommendation.

Known patent application KR No. 201660078682 (A) dated 2016/07/05 describing a system and method for using personal information including an STK server and a “service” server interacting via STK with a subscriber’s MS to control the transfer of personal information.

This decision can be used in case of prior approval by a third party of the use of his personal information. For the purposes of the present invention, any open information that can be provided containing useful data to inform the subscriber about an incoming call is used in addition to the caller’s number or name from his contact list.

RF patent dated 01.06.2010 No. RU2534970 adopted as a prototype of the present invention describes a machine-readable medium and a method for displaying contact information of an incoming call, according to which the MS receives a request and receives, in response to a request for contact information of an incoming call, an MS received from a social network service.

The disadvantage of this solution is the need to obtain information about the subscriber making an incoming call from a social network. Accounts on social networks are not available to all individuals and legal entities, and users and the administration of social networks control the accounts themselves. In this regard, SPRS operators need a replenished database whose control will not be so public.

The technical result of the method of notification of an incoming call is to increase the information content of a subscriber about an incoming call, without exchanging data between the subscriber’s MS and the service server, providing information about the calling number during connection and software (hardware-software) completion of the MS subscriber.

The technical result is achieved due to the method of notifying the subscriber about an incoming call in the SPRS, according to which, to increase the information content of the incoming call, an additional software and hardware node interacting with the switching node that implements additional types of services in the SPRS and an additional software and hardware node that implements software STK interfaces, and an additional hardware and software node that implements additional services in SPRS receives an information message an incoming call from the SPRS switching node by listening to a copy of the signaling ATS traffic or by triggering the IN of the SPRS trigger, extracts data about the calling and called subscriber from it, transfers them via the internal interfaces to the hardware-software node that implements STK programming interfaces, the STK node receives an additional caller ID information about the calling subscriber, generates a message for the called subscriber with additional information about the calling subscriber and transmits it to the SPRS to display the called to the first subscriber using SIM STK technology, including in an interactive form. An additional hardware and software node that implements STK software interfaces receives additional information about the subscriber from internal or external sources.

The technical result of the device for implementing the method is the simplification of additional informing the subscriber without the need for software or hardware-software revision of the main components of the SPRS.

The technical result is achieved due to the device SPRS with standard nodes, for the notification of the subscriber about an incoming call, additionally including a software and hardware node that implements additional types of services in SPRS, configured to receive information about incoming calls from the switching node SPRS, and interacts with an additional software hardware node that implements STK software interfaces, in which an additional hardware-software node implements additional types of servicing in SPRS It was made with the possibility of receiving signal messages from the ATS protocol from the switching center of the SPRS, and the software and hardware node implementing the software interfaces of the STK technology was configured to receive data on an incoming call from the additional software and hardware node that implements additional types of service in the SPRS according to the internal services agreed with it software interfaces for generating an incoming call notification message with additional information about the calling subscriber and sending this message to SPRS switching node using SIM STK technology for display on the called subscriber on MS.

SPRS made with the possibility of additional informing the subscriber about an incoming call generally includes standard CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE nodes: gateway node GW, switching node SSP, billing node SCP, radio access network BSS / E-UTRAN with mobile terminals MS. The database database with additional information about SPRS subscribers can be internal or external, including the database of another SPRS operator, or DMP (Data Management Platform), as well as any third-party database and / or any software that allows you to collect, process and to store any types of classroom data in relation to SPRS subscribers, and allowing to determine and obtain target data for additional information of the subscriber by ID, for example, the MSISDN of the subscriber. The database can interact with the STK server and / or with the control unit or implementation of the VAS (VAS-Value-Added Service) SPRS. An additional hardware and software node for incoming call notification can be implemented in various ways. Private schemes for the implementation of the additional node do not limit the scope of legal protection of the present invention and can serve as an illustrative example of the implementation of additional informing the subscriber about an incoming call using STK technology. In one embodiment, it can be implemented as a server of the VAS (additional types of services) and support services based on CAMEL technology (CAMEL Gateway), implemented with the implementation of SIM API software interfaces. A separate additional node for collecting information about subscribers and a separate node for generating messages using STK technology may be included in the architecture of the device of the SPRS network. In another case, the DVO server via internal interfaces (internal API) can interact with a separate STK server interacting with the database, generating and sending a message with additional information, as shown in FIG. 1. In this embodiment, the SPRS includes an additional service control unit DVO SCP 2 interacting with the switching center SPRS SSP 1 and the STK 3 server operating within the framework of SIM Application ToolKit technology standardized in ETSI TS 101267. Database 6 in this embodiment interacts with the STK server according to the agreed API and, upon request of the STK server 6, issues the target data of the subscriber in accordance with the received ID, for example, MSISDN. Using the SIM API program interface, the STK server 3 interacts with the subscriber’s specialized SIM menu MS 6 through the switching node SSP 1 and the radio access network BSS 5 SPRS. Program instructions for displaying a user notification message are recorded in the SIM STK MS 6 memory of the subscriber and are executed by at least one of its processors.

Claims (7)

1. A method of notifying a subscriber about an incoming call to the SPRS according to which, to increase the information content of the incoming call, an additional software and hardware node interacting with the switching center of the SPRS that implements additional types of services in the SPRS and an additional hardware and software node that implements STK program interfaces are used, characterized in that the additional software and hardware node that implements additional types of services in SPRS receives an information message about an incoming call from the node SPRS switching, extracts data about the calling and called subscriber from it, transmits them via internal interfaces to the hardware and software node that implements STK programming interfaces, the STK node receives additional information about the calling subscriber’s identifier, generates a message for the called subscriber with additional information about the caller and transmits it to the SPRS for display to the called subscriber using SIM STK technology.

The method of notifying the subscriber about an incoming call according to claim 1, characterized in that the additional software and hardware node that implements additional types of services in the SPRS receives a message about the incoming call by listening to a copy of the signaling ATS of the SPRS traffic.
