Abstract

FIELD: test and measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device consists of a trolley equipped with a rigid screen – a smooth transition – in the form of a quarter of the cylinder, the walls of which move into vertically and horizontally positioned guide planes. With the aid of the device, an answer was received to the question whether the motion of the body along the circumference can be equivalent to an oblique elastic shock and under what condition. It is shown that, under the conditions of the experiment, the momentum of a body moving along the circumference to a smooth transition remains practically unchanged (it varies very slightly), if the mass of the "hit" body exceeds the mass of the "striking" body by at least 50 times.
EFFECT: apparatus (device) for studying the mechanical interactions of physical bodies was proposed.

Description

The invention relates to the field of experimental mechanics and is a device (device) for studying the mechanical interactions of physical bodies.

The study of oblique elastic impacts is of practical interest. In classical mechanics, this phenomenon is considered sufficiently studied. The lack of devices that use oblique elastic shocks also does not help to attract the attention of researchers. There is no doubt that all impacts sooner or later are associated with the destruction of interacting bodies.

The question arises - is it possible to replace the oblique elastic impact by the movement of the body along a smooth transition (circle), i.e. can the movement of a body in a circle be the equivalent of an oblique elastic shock and under what conditions? To solve the problem, a device is proposed that allows one to study the mechanical interactions of physical bodies, namely, oblique elastic shock interactions and their equivalent - body motion along a smooth transition (circle). The prior art devices are not known with which you can get the answer to this question. Therefore, as a technical result provided by the claimed technical solution, the implementation of the destination, namely, the implementation of a device for studying the mechanical interactions of physical bodies, can be considered.

The drawing (Fig. 1) shows a schematic diagram of the proposed device (device).

Brief description of the drawing.

In FIG. 1 schematically shows the proposed device (device), consisting of a trolley (1), the mass of which can be changed by placing additional loads (2) on the platform of the trolley, equipped with a rigid screen in the end part (3) - a smooth transition in the form of a quarter of a cylinder with sides, passing into vertically and horizontally located guide planes (4), along which the “impacting” body (5) can move, and the movement of the trolley when the “impacting” body moves along a smooth transition is fixed on the scale of the recording devices and (6), in this case, an accelerating impulse is imparted to the “striking” body when it moves along a vertically arranged guide channel (7) or using any other device that provides the desired effect. If necessary, the screen and guide planes can be placed vertically on the trolley.

A brief description of the operation of the device

When the “striking” body moves along a smooth transition (circle), it interacts with the “striking” body - the trolley, whose movement is fixed on the scale of the recording device.

An example of the use of the invention

A device (device) was used to study the influence of the mass ratio of interacting bodies on the exchange of momenta between them when the “impacting” body moves around the circle. It is shown that under the conditions of the experiment, if the mass of the “striking” body exceeds the mass of the “striking” body moving along a smooth transition (circle) by at least 50 times, the momentum of the “striking” body changes very slightly.

Claims (2)

1. A device for studying the mechanical interactions of physical bodies, consisting of a trolley, the mass of which can be changed by placing additional loads on the trolley platform, equipped with a rigid screen in the front part - a smooth transition - in the form of a quarter of a cylinder with sides turning into vertically and horizontally arranged guides the plane along which the “striking” body can move, and the movement of the trolley when the “striking” body moves along a smooth transition is fixed on the scale of the recording device tva, while giving the “striking" body an accelerating impulse occurs when it moves along a vertically located channel.
2. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that any device providing the desired effect can be used to give the “striking” body an accelerating impulse.
