Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of measurement technology and can be used as a precision device for determining the amplitude of various potential signals in sensor systems.
[75-78].Peak detectors (PD), which provide measuring the amplitude (U m ) of changing voltages and their preparation for further digital processing, are widely used in modern information-measuring equipment, instrument engineering, and various analog-digital interfaces [1-74]. Differential PDs and “double” peak detectors are also known [75–78].
The classic peak detector stores the maximum value U m of the input voltage U in for a certain time interval T ISM , which is set by the user. At the end of the interval T ism, the peak detector should be reset to zero, which is ensured by the "shorting" of its storage capacitor. At this point in time, the output voltage of the PD cannot be used.
A device that uses the output voltage of a classical PD must be time-coordinated with the control generator of pulse PD signals. This mode of operation of the PD is called synchronous, and the PD itself that implements this mode is also called synchronous PD.
The synchronous mode of operation of the PD creates additional problems when inputting the signal of the PD to the computer using standard input modules and exchange protocols, which lead either to a significant decrease in the input speed or to an increase in hardware costs on the synchronization circuit.
This patent application discusses an asynchronous PD (APD), the output signal of which can be used at any time.
4 патента US 7.126.384).A significant disadvantage of the known peak detector is that it is synchronous, because the output of the peak detector (analog peak signal) associated with the multiplexer (MUX) is clocked by the selection signal (selection signal (Fig. 4 of US patent 7.126.384).
The main objective of the invention is to create an asynchronous peak detector, as well as increasing the reliability of the device in the discharge mode of the storage capacitors.

2.Consider the operation of the inventive device of FIG. 2.
3.The asynchronous peak detector of FIG. 2 consists of two peak detectors (PD1 and PD2), which are implemented on the basis of the first 3 and second 7 precision rectifiers. These rectifiers measure peak values (U m ) of the same input voltage U in . The states of the
The control pulse generator 17 (internal clock) is not connected in time with either the input or output voltages, or with the commands of the computer signal input interface, which is connected to the
A feature of the proposed ADF is that instead of a two-input multiplexer (MUX Fig. 1) with two repeaters at the input, it uses
In accordance with
Thus, the inventive asynchronous peak detector has significant advantages in comparison with the known technical solution.
