FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a fuel emulsion for diesel engines based on diesel fuel with the addition of alcohol, a promoter, and distilled water. Fuel emulsion additionally contains urea alkenyl-succinimide in the following ratios of components, wt %: ethanol 5.0-40.0; distilled water 0.6-4.8; urea alkenilsukcinimid 1.0-5.0; 2-ethylhexyl nitrate 1.0; diesel fuel - up to 100.
EFFECT: reducing the rigidity of the combustion process of fuel emulsion in the engine, increasing the stability of emulsion and increasing the reliability and durability of the diesel engine.

Description

The invention relates to fuels, in particular to fuel emulsions for diesel engines.

Known fuel emulsion based on diesel fuel, containing,%: alcohol-methanol 5.0-40.0; water 0.5-5.0; alkenyl succinimide, 0.25-0.5; potassium stearate 0.25-0.5; diesel fuel - up to 100 [USSR Author's Certificate No. 1728290, C10L 1/32, 1989].

The disadvantages of the known fuel emulsion is the increased rigidity of the combustion process and increased wear of the fuel equipment and the cylinder-piston group, which reduce the reliability and durability of the diesel engine.

The closest in technical essence and the achieved result to the proposed one is a fuel emulsion based on diesel fuel, containing,%: alcohol-methanol 5.0-40.0; water 0.5-5.0; alkenyl succinimide 0.25-1.0; a mixture of soaps diethanolamine and oleic acid - 0.2; diesel fuel - up to 100 [RF Patent No. 2221839 Fuel emulsion, publ. 01/20/2004, IPC C10L 1/32, application: No. 2002128568/04, 10.23.2002].

The disadvantage of this fuel emulsion is the increased rigidity of the combustion process.

The aim of the invention is to reduce the rigidity of the combustion process.

A significant difference between the fuel emulsion and all previously known solutions is the addition of urea alkenyl succinimide to the corrosion inhibitor in a volume of 1.0-5.0 wt.%.

The advantages of a fuel emulsion are determined by the following circumstances:

Diesel fuel (up to 100%) plays the role of a combustible phase and a dispersion medium.

Ethanol (5.0 ... 40%) acts as a substitute for alternative diesel fuel, plays the role of the dispersion phase.

Distilled water (0.6 ... 4.8%) improves the stability of the fuel emulsion.

The 2-ethylhexyl nitrate promoter - (up to 1.0%) reduces the rigidity of the combustion process in the engine.

The corrosion inhibitor urea alkenylsuccinimide (1 ... 5%) simultaneously acts as a stabilizer and as an additive to reduce the rigidity of the combustion process in the engine (see table 1).

As can be seen from the data in table 1, the addition of urea alkenyl succinimide in a volume of 1 ... 5 wt.% Increases the stability of the fuel emulsion and further reduces the rigidity of the combustion process in the engine.

The emulsion is prepared as follows.

A quantity of 100 g is prepared. For this, the required amount of distilled water is dissolved in ethanol, and the required amount of the corrosion inhibitor urea alkenyl succinimide and the 2-ethylhexyl nitrate promoter are dissolved in diesel fuel. All phases in the above proportions are mixed and dispersed.

The feasibility study of the invention consists in the possibility of further reducing the rigidity of the combustion process of the fuel emulsion in the engine, thereby increasing the reliability and durability of the diesel engine.
