Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a technology for the additional extraction of valuable components from natural hydrocarbon gas and can be used in enterprises of the gas processing industry.
Natural hydrocarbon gas, the main component of which is methane, is widely used as a gaseous fuel for industrial and domestic purposes. However, along with methane, the composition of natural hydrocarbon gas includes a large number of impurity organic and inorganic components: ethane and heavier hydrocarbons, water, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptan, carbon dioxide, helium, nitrogen. A feature of impurity components is that, on the one hand, these components are substances that reduce the calorific value of natural hydrocarbon gas as fuel and are ballast when transporting natural hydrocarbon gas, increasing the cost of transportation, and on the other hand, all of these impurities except water are quite valuable raw materials for chemical and petrochemical industries with the possibility of further production of polymers, fuels for automobile transport, sulfur, methane la, the noble gas nuclear fuel, ammonia, nitric acid and other products.
One of the main undesirable impurities in natural hydrocarbon gas is nitrogen, the content of which in natural hydrocarbon gas reaches 10% vol., For example, in the powerful Kovykta field, the nitrogen content in natural hydrocarbon gas is 7.2% vol. Along with this, the gas of the Kovykta field contains up to 0.4% vol. helium, which allows such a gas to be attributed to very rich in helium natural gases. The need for helium in world technology is growing rapidly. Thus, according to Gazprom VNIIGAZ estimates, by 2030, global helium consumption may reach 238-312 million m 3 , while the projected helium production will be 213-238 million m 3 , that is, a helium production deficit is expected to reach 25-74 million m 3 . At present, 100% of Russian helium is produced at the only helium plant of Gazprom dobycha Orenburg LLC in an amount of only about 9 million m 3 / year from gas condensate with a helium content of only 0.055% in gas (A. Kontorovich, A. Korzhubaev G., Eder L.V. Raw materials base and development prospects of the helium industry in Russia and the world (Institute of Oil and Gas Geology SB RAS) // 10.29.2007 .: http://www.geoinform.ru/). With the deep processing of natural hydrocarbon gases from the Kovykta and other fields in Eastern Siberia, up to 60 million m 3 / year of helium can be extracted from them, which will become a highly profitable export item for Russia and will compensate for the global helium deficit.
Thus, when developing powerful gas fields, deep processing of natural hydrocarbon gas with the simultaneous extraction of a wide range of impurities from the produced natural hydrocarbon gas becomes expedient, however, an analysis of the technical and patent literature indicates that the existing technical solutions are mainly aimed at extraction from natural hydrocarbon gas of one characteristic impurity or a group of the same type of impurities.
A method for removing nitrogen from natural gas is known, for example, comprising: a) absorbing a hydrocarbon component of natural gas by straight-run naphtha, essentially consisting of C 5 -C 8 paraffin hydrocarbons, in a device for absorbing and releasing unabsorbed nitrogen; b) stripping the hydrocarbon component from the virgin naphtha in a stripping column operating at a temperature at the bottom ranging 150-200 ° C; c) recirculation to stage (a) of straight-run naphtha regenerated during desorption; d) supply of the desorbed hydrocarbon component to the distribution network (Method for the removal of nitrogen from natural gas: Pat. 2185226 Russian Federation. No. 2000103939/12; claimed. 02/18/2000; publ. 07/20/2002). The disadvantages of this method are:
• сброс удаленного азота в атмосферу и потеря этого потенциального для дальнейшей переработки исходного сырья;• discharge of removed nitrogen into the atmosphere and the loss of this potential for further processing of feedstock;
• абсорбция всей углеводородной части природного газа нафтой с последующей его десорбцией приводит к экономически неэффективным большим энергозатратам на проведение процесса десорбции и циркуляцию большого количества нафты в системе;• absorption of the entire hydrocarbon part of natural gas by naphtha with its subsequent desorption leads to economically inefficient large energy costs for the desorption process and the circulation of a large amount of naphtha in the system;
• предусмотрена только предварительная обработка природного газа для удаления примеси диоксида углерода мембранным методом, однако остальные примеси, например, сероводород не удаляются, что приводит в конечном итоге к загрязнению окружающей среды.• only pretreatment of natural gas is provided to remove impurities of carbon dioxide by the membrane method, but other impurities, such as hydrogen sulfide, are not removed, which ultimately leads to environmental pollution.
A known method for the separation of ethane fraction by low-temperature distillation, which includes the supply of hydrocarbon gas to the distillation column for deethanization, low-temperature condensation of the vapors obtained in the heat exchanger and their supply to the reflux tank, the withdrawal of part of the condensed liquid into the distillation column for irrigation and the withdrawal of commercial products (Method for the separation of ethane fractions: Pat. 2459160 of the Russian Federation. No. 2010136352/20; claimed. 08.30.2010; publ.: 08.20.2012). The disadvantages of this method are:
• необходимость предварительного извлечения фракции С2 и выше из исходного природного газа; • the need for preliminary extraction of fraction C 2 and above from the source of natural gas;
• проведение процесса деэтанизации сырья при низком давлении (1,01 МПа вместо 2,63 МПа) приводит к необходимости поддерживания отрицательной температуры (минус 27,6 оС), обеспечиваемой за счет дорогостоящего пропанового охлаждения вместо положительной температуры (6,8 оС), обеспечиваемой дешевой захоложенной водой, что приведет к фактическому увеличению энергозатрат в денежном выражении, несмотря на их некоторое снижение в калорическом выражении;• holding deethanizer feed process at low pressure (1.01 MPa instead of 2.63 MPa) leads to the necessity of maintaining the temperature of the negative (minus 27.6 ° C) provided at the expense of costly cooling propane instead the positive temperature (6.8 ° C) provided by cheap refrigerated water, which will lead to an actual increase in energy costs in monetary terms, despite their slight decrease in caloric terms;
• после предварительного извлечения фракции С2 и выше из исходного природного газа образуется метановая фракция, загрязненная азотом, сероводородом, диоксидом углерода и другими примесями, снижающими калорийность метановой фракции как топлива.• after preliminary extraction of the C 2 and higher fraction from the source natural gas, a methane fraction is formed that is contaminated with nitrogen, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and other impurities that reduce the calorific value of the methane fraction as fuel.
There is also known a method for producing helium, in which helium is separated from a helium, nitrogen and methane-containing gas fraction, so that the helium-containing fraction is at least partially condensed and separated into a helium-rich gas fraction (a) and a helium-depleted liquid fraction ( b) Then the helium-enriched gas fraction (a) is condensed until the helium concentration in the resulting gas fraction is at least 90%, preferably at least 95%, and in particular at least 98%. Next, the helium-depleted liquid fraction (b) is expanded, evaporated until at least 70%, preferably at least 85%, of the helium contained in it is in a gaseous state, and separated into a helium-rich gas fraction and helium-poor liquid fraction. After that, the helium-rich gas fraction is heated and added to the initial helium-containing fraction (Method for the production of helium: Pat. 2486131 Russian Federation. No. 2009104099/05; decl. 06.02.2009; publ. 06.27.2013). The disadvantages of this method are:
• необходимость предварительного получения концентрированной исходной гелийсодержащей фракции, которая содержит до 10 % гелия; • the need for preliminary obtaining a concentrated initial helium-containing fraction, which contains up to 10% helium;
• возврат богатой гелием газовой фракции в исходную гелийсодержащую фракцию нерационален, поскольку эта фракция, полученная из фракции (б) уже подвергалась ранее конденсации и рациональнее направлять ее в газовую фракцию (а).• the return of a helium-rich gas fraction to the initial helium-containing fraction is irrational, since this fraction obtained from fraction (b) has already been condensed before and it is more rational to send it to the gas fraction (a).
10.04.2013).There is also known a method for extracting helium from natural gas, which includes producing a helium concentrate followed by low-temperature or membrane separation and adsorption purification of impurities, characterized in that before receiving a helium concentrate, the natural gas stream is converted to produce synthesis gas, the products are catalytically synthesized, which are then condensed with the release of helium concentrate (Method for the extraction of helium from natural gas: US Pat. 2478569 Russian Federation. No. 2011146306/05; decl. 11.16.2011; publ. 1 04/04/2013).
The disadvantages of this method are:
• полное превращение исходного природного углеводородного газа в синтез-газ с последующим получением метанола приводит к потере углеводородного газа как топлива;• the complete conversion of the original natural hydrocarbon gas to synthesis gas with the subsequent production of methanol leads to the loss of hydrocarbon gas as a fuel;
Ф. Сорбция водорода углеродными наноструктурами // International Scientific Journal for Alternative Energy and Ecology. 2002. № 3. С. 20-38). Это делает экономически нецелесообразным адсорбционное извлечение водорода из гелиевого концентрата с высокой концентрацией водорода (обычно активность адсорбентов (адсорбционная емкость) в промышленных условиях в процессах очистки технологических потоков по иным достаточно легко сорбируемым веществам в десятки раз выше и составляет 10-15 % масс.).• to obtain a helium concentrate, the waste gas stream after CO conversion in the converter is fed for absorption cleaning of carbon dioxide with potash and monoethanolamine solutions to the absorber and / or short-cycle adsorption into the adsorber and hydrogen-rich gas is obtained, and then hydrogen is finally released by short-cycle adsorption on activated carbon carbon or a zeolite adsorber, but when hydrogen adsorption activity considered adsorbents is very low - on the level of 100 Ncm 3 / g (0.001 g / g or 0.1 wt.%) on zeolites (Large Enz klopediya Oil and Gas adsorption isotherms of hydrogen on synthetic zeolites:. http://www.ngpedia.ru/) and 01.02 kg / m3 (0.002 g / g or 0.2 wt%) on activated charcoal (Tarasov Bytes. .P., Goldschleger NF Hydrogen sorption by carbon nanostructures // International Scientific Journal for Alternative Energy and Ecology. 2002. No. 3. P. 20-38). This makes the adsorption extraction of hydrogen from a helium concentrate with a high concentration of hydrogen economically impractical (usually the activity of adsorbents (adsorption capacity) under industrial conditions in the processes of purification of technological streams for other fairly easily adsorbed substances is ten times higher and makes up 10-15% of the mass.).
Also known is a method of processing a natural gas stream comprising the steps of:
(a) подачи частично сконденсированного сырьевого потока в первый аппарат для разделения газа и жидкости при давлении выше 20 бар и ниже 40 бар;(a) supplying a partially condensed feed stream to a first gas and liquid separation apparatus at pressures above 20 bar and below 40 bar;
(б) разделения сырьевого потока в первом аппарате для разделения газа и жидкости на газообразный поток и жидкостной поток;(b) separating the feed stream in a first apparatus for separating gas and liquid into a gaseous stream and a liquid stream;
(в) расширения жидкостного потока, полученного на стадии (б), и подачи его во второй аппарат для разделения газа и жидкости;(c) expanding the liquid stream obtained in stage (b) and supplying it to a second apparatus for separating gas and liquid;
(г) разделения указанного газообразного потока, по меньшей мере, на два подпотока, причем сразу после разделения подпотоки имеют одинаковый состав и фазовое состояние;(d) dividing said gaseous stream into at least two substreams, wherein immediately after the separation, the substreams have the same composition and phase state;
(д) расширения первого подпотока, полученного на стадии (г), с получением в результате, по меньшей мере, частично сконденсированного первого подпотока, и подачи после этого указанного частично сконденсированного первого подпотока во второй аппарат для разделения газа и жидкости; (e) expanding the first substream obtained in step (d), resulting in at least partially condensed first substream, and then supplying said partially condensed first substream to a second gas and liquid separation apparatus;
(е) охлаждения второго подпотока, полученного на стадии (г), холодным потоком, с получением в результате, по меньшей мере, частично сконденсированного второго подпотока, и подачи после этого, по меньшей мере, частично сконденсированного второго подпотока во второй аппарат для разделения газа и жидкости;(e) cooling the second substream obtained in step (d) with a cold stream, resulting in at least partially condensed second substream, and then supplying at least partially condensed second substream to the second gas separation apparatus and fluids;
(ж) отвода газообразного потока из второго аппарата для разделения газа и жидкости;(g) removing a gaseous stream from a second apparatus for separating gas and liquid;
27.08.2012). Недостатками данного способа являются:(h) draining the liquid stream from the second apparatus for separating gas and liquid (Method and apparatus for processing a stream of hydrocarbons: Pat. 2460022 Russian Federation. No. 2009119469/06; declared. 23.10.2007, publ. 08.27.2012). The disadvantages of this method are:
• низкая технологичность процесса, поскольку достаточно сложная схема совместной работы первого и второго аппарата сводится к тому, что исходное сырье разделяется после первого аппарата на четыре потока, три из которых возвращаются в качестве сырья во второй аппарат;• low processability of the process, since a rather complicated scheme of the joint operation of the first and second apparatus is reduced to the fact that the feedstock is divided into four streams after the first apparatus, three of which are returned as raw materials to the second apparatus;
• из приведенного примера остается совершенно непонятно, как должен функционировать второй аппарат, поскольку поток 100, выходящий снизу второго аппарата не может находиться в парожидкостном состоянии, а поток 110 - в паровой фазе (таблица 1);• from the above example, it remains completely incomprehensible how the second apparatus should function, since the
• приведенные расчеты не убеждают в возможности практической реализации заявляемого изобретения, поскольку показатели, характеризующие результативность процесса не соответствуют технологическим параметрам.• the above calculations do not convince of the possibility of practical implementation of the claimed invention, since the indicators characterizing the effectiveness of the process do not correspond to the technological parameters.
In the development of this invention, the task was to provide a comprehensive extraction of valuable impurities from natural helium-containing hydrocarbon gas with a high nitrogen content with its preliminary deep drying and purification, and further separation of the pentane-hesane hydrocarbon fraction, butane fraction, propane fraction from it sequentially (at boiling points) fractions, ethane, commercial fuel gas, liquid nitrogen and liquid helium of high purity using effective cryogenic technologies, distillation, absorption, gravity and filtration separation and minimization of energy costs for the implementation of the process as a whole due to the optimal use of heat recovery during heat transfer between hot and cold flows and the use of turboexpander and heat pumps.
The problem is solved due to the fact that a method has been developed for the comprehensive extraction of valuable impurities from natural helium-containing hydrocarbon gas with a high nitrogen content, which includes the steps of:

Кислый газ очищается от метанола и частично от сероводорода и диоксида углерода в промывной колонне технологической водой с получением кислой воды и потока низконапорного кислого газа, а экспанзерный газ отправляется в топливную сеть;(c) regeneration of the saturated absorbent stream in a system of successive expanders with separators at a gradually increasing temperature of the absorbent and pressure reduction in the expanders and then in the low-pressure regeneration column to obtain a regenerated absorbent returned to the stage (b) from the regenerative heat exchanger system, and acid and expancer gases. The proposed multi-stage scheme for the complex extraction of valuable impurities from natural helium-containing hydrocarbon gas with a high nitrogen content allows you to:
1) обеспечить предварительную глубокую осушку и очистку исходного природного углеводородного газа от диоксида углерода, сероводорода, меркаптана и соединений ртути;1) to provide preliminary deep drying and purification of the source of natural hydrocarbon gas from carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptan and mercury compounds;
2) обеспечить выделение из очищенного углеводородного газа последовательно (по температурам кипения) пентан-гесановой углеводородной фракции, бутановой фракции, пропановой фракции, этана, товарного топливного газа, жидкого азота и жидкого гелия;2) ensure the isolation of the purified hydrocarbon gas sequentially (at boiling points) of the pentane-hesane hydrocarbon fraction, butane fraction, propane fraction, ethane, commercial fuel gas, liquid nitrogen and liquid helium;
3) обеспечить дополнительную очистку гелия от примесей азота, водорода, кислорода, диоксида углерода, аргона и неона с получением жидкого гелия высокой степени чистоты (до 99,9999 %), конкурентно-способного по отношению к гелию других мировых производителей;3) to provide additional purification of helium from impurities of nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, argon and neon to obtain liquid helium of high purity (up to 99.9999%), competitive with other world manufacturers helium;
4) сформировать систему оптимального использования рекуперации тепла при теплообмене между горячими и холодными потоками за счет объединения теплообменных аппаратов в «холодном боксе», что сводит к минимуму потери холода в окружающую среду и сокращение потребности в энергии на охлаждение рециркулирующей азотно-метановой фракции в «тепловом насосе»;4) to form a system for the optimal use of heat recovery during heat exchange between hot and cold flows by combining heat exchangers in a “cold box”, which minimizes the loss of cold to the environment and reduces the energy requirement for cooling the recirculating nitrogen-methane fraction in the “heat” pump ";
5) минимизировать выбросы в окружающую среду кислых стоков и компонентов исходного природного углеводородного газа за счет отпарки кислых стоков и использования технологических газовых потоков для регенерации адсорбентов;5) minimize emissions of acidic effluents and components of the original natural hydrocarbon gas through the stripping of acidic effluents and the use of process gas streams for the regeneration of adsorbents;
д.6) expand the industrial base of the underdeveloped eastern region of Russia through the construction of a number of gas chemical enterprises using hydrocarbon fractions as raw materials for their further processing into polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene oxide, ethanol, methanol, glycols, automotive fuel components, etc. .
It is advisable to intensify the first level of purification of the feed stream of natural hydrocarbon gas from mechanical impurities and dropping liquid at stage (a) in the gravity separator to additionally place an integrated filter-coalescenter that provides the merging and enlargement of small drops of liquid, which will increase the rate of their deposition and the depth of gas purification.
It is also advisable, at the second level of joint purification of the first stream of purified hydrocarbon gas from impurities of hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and methanol by absorption, to use in stage (b) as a regenerated absorbent an aqueous solution of amines containing 20-40% amines, while amines can be use monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, methyldiethanolamine, or mixtures thereof, and at an increased concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the gas to be purified, add to the aqueous solution an amine containing triethanolamine, iat 5-12% piperazine, enhancing activity with respect to CO 2 . The use of contact devices in the form of cross-precision nozzles having independent flow sections for gas and liquid phases in stages (b) and (c) in the absorption, regeneration and washing columns allows optimizing the process at these stages and reducing operating costs for the implementation of the second level purification of the first stream of purified hydrocarbon gas while improving the quality of gas purification from recoverable impurities.
It is also advisable, at stage (d), the stripping of acidic water from stage (c) to obtain the steamed process water returned to stage (c) and the stripping gases is performed in the first additional distillation column, which is much more economical from the standpoint of energy consumption than the traditional implementation of stripping in the evaporation apparatus, in which a low concentration of methanol in the steamed process water must be maintained in the entire volume of the liquid phase, it is in equilibrium with the vapor phase with a high concentration of water vapor, and upon stripping it is obtained in then a dilute aqueous solution of methanol, while in the distillation column this equilibrium is maintained only with a small volume of the liquid phase in the lower bottom of the column, and additional purification of technical methanol to obtain commercial high-purity methanol is carried out in an additional block of distillation columns or, at least, in the second additional distillation column with the ability to ensure methanol purity to a level of more than 99%. In addition, the proposed technology practically eliminates acidic effluents into the environment, since all the steamed process water is returned to stage (c) and, if necessary, additionally replenished with fresh water. From the point of view of environmental protection, there is also the problem of utilizing the combination of acid gases from stage (c) and low-pressure stripping gases from stage (d), the first of which consists mainly of hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide mixed with methanol, and the second mainly of carbon dioxide, since both direct discharge of these gases into the atmosphere, and their discharge to the flare will lead to significant local air pollution. However, the task of utilization of these gases can be solved due to the fact that the fuel gas produced by this method contains no more than 2% vol. nitrogen and due to this, the heat of combustion is significantly greater than what is required by the standard. A significant reserve of fuel gas generated by the calorific value allows acidic gases of stage (c) to be pumped into the generated methane fraction with a low nitrogen content in full and in a balance amount providing the necessary heat of combustion of commercial fuel gas, low-pressure stripping gases from stage (g) subjected further compressing to a pressure of 2.0 MPa (abs.) and drying at a temperature of 20-40 ° C to not higher than minus 20 ° C. in this case, the dew point of step (d) in the process of drying the low pressure acid gas adsorption rah for removing moisture from gas is expedient to use the AC-type zeolite having the highest selectivity for the water in the drying gas compared with other adsorbents, although it has a relatively low moisture content. An alternative solution when drying low-pressure acid gases in adsorbers to remove moisture from the gas is to use two layers of adsorbent along the gas stream, while in the first layer, granular alumina can be used as adsorbent, which has a high moisture capacity, but provides a rather low depth of gas drying, and in the second layer, use a KA type zeolite as an adsorbent, which guarantees deep post-drying of the gas. Regeneration of the adsorbent in step (d) is advantageously carried out with a nitrogen gas stream of step (k) low-pressure heated to a temperature of about 300-350 C, and after cooling the adsorbent to carry out the regeneration stream of cold gaseous nitrogen from the low pressure step (k), then nitrogen gas was low the pressure after regeneration and cooling of the adsorbent can be flushed.
It is advisable at stage (e) - the third level of drying, purification from the mercury compounds of the second stream of purified hydrocarbon gas from stage (b) and its purification from methanol vapor in the second adsorbent system with a stationary adsorbent layer using gas drying in the adsorbers and purifying it from vapor methanol adsorbent based on aluminum oxide and KA zeolite to ensure the regeneration of adsorbents; in adsorbers for gas purification from mercury - adsorbent based on aluminum oxide promoted by copper to unload the adsorbent from adsorbers as tki. Regeneration of the adsorbents - KA zeolite and aluminum oxide - can be carried out flow of the gaseous agent is low or medium pressure, heated to a temperature of 300-350 C, and after cooling the adsorbent to carry out the regeneration stream of cold gaseous agent of low or medium pressure, wherein the gaseous agent low or medium pressure, you can use the methane fraction withdrawn from the stage of deazotization (s) with its subsequent compression or part of the second stream of purified hydrocarbon gas from the stage (b) followed by cooling, condensation, and separation of the desorbed water and returning to the beginning of stage (e), and for cooling the adsorption adsorbent gas after regeneration, a part of the third stream of dried and purified hydrocarbon gas from stage can be used as a gaseous agent of low or medium pressure (e) wherein the flow rate of the gaseous agent of low or medium pressure for cooling and regenerating the saturated adsorbent is 5-10% of the total amount of the second stream of purified hydrocarbon aza supplied to step (e). As a result of deep purification and drying of the second stream of purified hydrocarbon gas in stage (e), the moisture content in the dried third stream of dried and purified natural gas is not more than 0.1 ppmv (or 0.00001% vol.), The content of carbon dioxide is not more than 2 ppmv, methanol no more than 50 ppmv, which ensures the normal functioning of subsequent cryogenic equipment. To protect the equipment from the probability of microscopic particles of adsorbent entering, the obtained third stream of dried and purified natural gas is filtered, while the size of microscopic particles of adsorbent in the third stream of dried and purified natural gas should be no more than 50 μm.
The presence at stage (h) in the “cold box” of a system of recuperative heat exchangers using flows of different temperature refrigerants makes it appropriate to place cryogenic equipment from stages (i) and (k) in the “cold box”, which dramatically reduces the loss of cold into the environment and reduces energy costs for the implementation of the method as a whole.
At stage (l), it is envisaged to purify the intermediate liquid helium from nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, argon and neon impurities, which is carried out in activated carbon adsorbers at a temperature of 70-100 K and a pressure of 4 MPa, since the adsorption of argon, neon, nitrogen, hydrogen in significant quantities of activated carbon can be provided only under cryogenic conditions at high pressure in the adsorbers, while the regeneration of the activated carbon adsorbent can be carried out by a stream of low-pressure nitrogen gas from stage (k) heated to temperature 200-250 ° C with discharge desorption products torch, and after cooling the adsorbent to carry out the regeneration stream of cold gaseous nitrogen from the low pressure step (k). The quality of liquid helium purification at stage (l) can be estimated by the slip of neon into the liquid helium stream at the outlet of the last adsorber of a sequential system of adsorbers. An alternative to the economically costly cryogenic purification of a liquid helium intermediate is the replacement of the adsorption liquid-phase method of purifying helium from hydrogen in the absence of neon and xenon by the catalytic gas-phase method of hydrogen oxidation by atmospheric oxygen to water, followed by drying of the stream of the dried nitrogen-helium mixture at stage (k) in the fourth system adsorbers with a stationary layer of zeolite adsorbent, which can be used as selective KA type zeolite, while the regeneration of adsorbents conduct a nitrogen gas stream from the low pressure stage (k) is heated to a temperature of 300-350 C, and after cooling the adsorbent regeneration can be carried out flow of cold low-pressure nitrogen gas from step (a); Further, gaseous nitrogen of low pressure after regeneration and cooling of the adsorbent is discharged to the flare.
It is advisable to use broad-porous NaX type zeolite with high selectivity for sulfur compounds in the adsorbent purification of BFLH from sulfur compounds, including mercaptans, in the third system of adsorbers with a stationary adsorbent layer at the stage (n). Advantageously, at transition from the adsorption stage to the first regeneration stage to empty canister and purge the adsorbent bed prior to regeneration to use nitrogen, to carry out the regeneration of adsorbents methane fraction at a pressure of about 0.08 MPa heated to a temperature of about 300-350 C, and after cooling adsorbents regeneration to carry out a stream of cold methane fraction from stage (s). This allows you to create a nitrogen cushion over liquid NGL displaced from the adsorber and prevents its methane contamination due to its equilibrium transition of methane from desorption gases to NGL, which can reduce the quality of the propane fraction obtained further from NGL. After regeneration and cooling of the adsorbent, the methane fraction is compressed and pumped into commercial fuel gas.
From the standpoint of reducing energy consumption and maximizing the use of internal energy resources, it is advisable that the heat supply to the devices of the cryogenic stages (h), (i), (k), (l) be provided in the recuperative heat exchangers combined into a “cold box” with hotter process flows or due to the heat of condensation of gas streams with a higher temperature or “heat pumps”, and heat removal in the apparatus of cryogenic stages (h), (i), (k), (l) is provided in recuperative heat exchangers combined in a “cold box”, more holo GOVERNMENTAL process streams, or by the heat of vaporization of liquid flows with a lower temperature or refrigeration cycles.
Advantageously, in step (a) as a heat source to heat the reboilers of the two fractionation hydrocarbon separation columns (debutanizer and a depropanizer) use oil AMT-300 or other similar heat transfer fluid to the heating temperature up to 260 ° C, which eliminates the need to provide businesses expensive and scarce coolant - high pressure steam. Heating the heat carrier to a temperature of 260 ° C can be achieved in a tubular furnace, fuel which may be a fuel gas from the enterprise network, which is discharged from purge gas streams of process steps.
It is advisable at the stage (o) gas fractionation of purified BFLH to be carried out in distillation columns for the separation of hydrocarbons under technological conditions providing such a high degree of separation and the quality of the products produced that the resulting propane fraction contains at least 97% vol. propane, butane fraction - not less than 98% vol. the amount of butanes, pentane-hexane fraction - not less than 98% vol. pentane and higher hydrocarbons.
It is rational to use a methane-nitrogen mixture with a complete absence of ethane, which is produced in an additional side column connected to the second distillation column into which the methane-nitrogen fraction is transferred, as a working fluid for the “heat pump”, rationally from the standpoint of reducing energy costs at stage (k) periodically to update the quality of this fraction and remove accumulated impurities.
In order to ensure the flexibility of the enterprise’s functioning when the quantity and quality of the feedstock and the market situation change, it is advisable that the natural gas helium-gas processing plant be implemented on at least two parallel production lines, with the number of lines including the stages of ethane production and NGL and de-nitriding, more than the number of lines with stages of helium production, which allows the nitrogen-helium mixture from all lines to be combined into a common collector, about where to distribute it according to the stages of helium production in accordance with the helium content in the nitrogen-helium mixture and the power of the helium liquefier, and the excess is dumped onto a candle or sent for storage for further processing when the production situation changes.

The feed stream of natural hydrocarbon gas flows through pipeline 1 to the separation unit of the
150.In the acid gas
110.Stage (c) is implemented in the saturated absorbent 120 regeneration unit, while the flow of the spent MDEA solution saturated with acidic components and methanol enters through line 4, is throttled to a pressure of 3-4 MPa, and is heated in a regenerative heat exchanger due to the heat regenerated by MDEA. The spent MDEA solution saturated with acidic ingredients and heated to a temperature of 70-80 ° C until further throttled pressure of 1 MPa and enters the expansion tank (ekspanzer) spent MDEA solution. In the expansion vessel (expancer), the expansion gas is separated from the spent MDEA solution as a result of a decrease in pressure to 0.8 MPa (abs.). Saturated acidic components MDEA solution from the bottom of the expansion tank (ekspanzera) enters the tube side of the recuperative heat exchanger where it is heated regenerated MDEA stream to a temperature of 95-105 ° C, and enters the upper section stripper nozzle, the pressure of 0.18 MPa. The absorber equipped with the thermosyphon for heating solution saturated MDEA temperature to 123-125 ° C. The resulting saturated solution under heating MDEA gas phase with entrained absorbent solution droplets is derived from the top of the desorber. Then this mixture, which contains mainly acidic components and methanol, enters the acid gas separator, where it is separated into gas and liquid phases. The acid gas separator is equipped with a nozzle column for flushing acid gas from methanol with process
Stage (d) - the stage of compression and drying of low-pressure acid gases is carried out in
22.The wet second stream of purified hydrocarbon gas from
23.In the gas purification section for mercury compounds, two adsorbers are loaded with an adsorbent layer based on aluminum oxide promoted with copper, while one adsorber is in the adsorption mode (adsorbent regeneration is not provided due to the low concentration of the removed component, the gas to be cleaned contains no more than 2 ppb compounds mercury), and the second is in standby mode and is included in the technological cycle when the adsorbent is saturated in the first adsorber. Spent adsorbent is sent to a specialized mercury disposal company and replaced with fresh adsorbent. Dried to a moisture content of not more than 0.1 ppmv and purified from mercury, the third stream of dried and purified natural gas gas is discharged from
Then, the third stream of dried and purified natural gas, dried and purified from mercury, is dried from the hydrocarbon gas dehydration and
The deethanized gas is piped through
Partially condensed deethanized gas, containing mainly methane and nitrogen mixed with helium, enters cryogenic
A nitrogen-helium mixture with a partial content of hydrogen and methane is sent via
Then, the undrained nitrogen-helium mixture enters the adsorber for drying the nitrogen-helium mixture. The nitrogen-helium mixture enters and passes from the bottom up to one of the two adsorbers. The water and carbon dioxide contained in the non-dried nitrogen-helium mixture are adsorbed by a molecular sieve, and their content in the gas is reduced to almost zero so that the systems in the helium recovery and helium liquefaction departments do not freeze. The gas dried and enriched with helium then passes through the filter of the dried nitrogen-helium mixture to remove possible dust from molecular sieves, which can affect the operation of the cryogenic process in the helium recovery unit. To remove water and carbon dioxide from supersaturated molecular sieves, the adsorber for drying the nitrogen-helium mixture in the regeneration mode is first heated with a regeneration gas for approximately 5 hours, and then cooled for approximately 4 hours. The regeneration gas used is low-pressure nitrogen, separated from the nitrogen-helium mixture in the helium recovery unit.
The work of two adsorbers in the dehydration compartment of the nitrogen-helium mixture occurs with periodic switching from the adsorption mode to the regeneration mode. After the regeneration mode, the regenerated adsorber is several degrees warmer than the adsorber in the adsorption mode. To minimize the temperature fluctuations in the gas of the dried nitrogen-helium mixture when switching from a spent adsorber to a regenerated adsorber, the so-called parallel adsorption mode is used. During this parallel adsorption regime, which lasts about 3-4 hours, most of the gas is still sent to the working adsorber, and part of the total gas flow passes through the regenerated and warmer adsorber, leading it to operating temperature, minimizing the temperature difference between the two dried gas helium enriched streams leaving adsorbers. After this parallel mode, the flow is completely switched to the regenerated adsorber.
The helium recovery unit consists of cryogenic nitrogen evolution and short cycle adsorption (CCA). The dried nitrogen-helium mixture enters the “cold box” for receiving helium for cryogenic separation into 4 streams: a stream enriched with helium coming from the “cold box” for receiving helium, a stream of liquid nitrogen supplied to the liquid nitrogen storage compartment through
Medium pressure nitrogen of 2500 kg / h enters the compartment boundary for regenerating adsorbers of the
Coming out of the "cold box" for the production of helium, a helium-saturated stream contains approximately 80 mol%. helium and is fed to the final stage of helium purification in the CCA department. The short-cycle adsorption process is based on the physical phenomenon when high-boiling components of low polarity, such as, for example, hydrogen or helium, are difficult to adsorb in comparison with such molecules as CO 2 , CO, N 2 and hydrocarbons. Thus, during the short-cycle adsorption process, most of the impurities in the helium-containing stream can be selectively adsorbed, resulting in a highly pure helium product.
The CCA process consists of two stages:
- адсорбирование примесей при высоком давлении, которое необходимо для увеличения парциального давления и, следовательно, увеличения количества адсорбируемых примесей;- adsorption of impurities at high pressure, which is necessary to increase the partial pressure and, therefore, increase the amount of adsorbed impurities;
- десорбция (или регенерация) происходит при низком давлении для максимально возможного уменьшения количества примесей на адсорбенте, и, соответственно, для достижения высокой степени чистоты гелия.- desorption (or regeneration) occurs at low pressure to minimize the amount of impurities on the adsorbent as much as possible, and, accordingly, to achieve a high degree of helium purity.
The process of short-cycle adsorption is realized at a low temperature of 100-80 K, which is realized by evaporation of liquid nitrogen in the annular space of a shell-and-tube type adsorber, the tubes of which are filled with adsorbent.
The adsorbers in the adsorption process are arranged in steps, which contributes to high flexibility, eliminating the influence of changes in the composition, temperature and pressure of the feed gas.
CCA, carried out at high pressure, allows one to sharply reduce the size of the adsorbers by reducing the adsorption time, which in turn is ensured by rapid regeneration of the adsorbent due to a sharp pressure drop in the apparatus, and, on the other hand, to implement a practically isothermal process in the adsorber at all stages process. Activated carbons, for example, SKT-6 grades, which practically do not adsorb helium even at very low temperatures, are used as adsorbent, and nitrogen, argon, and neon are sorbed in sufficient quantities.
CCA efficiently separates the helium-saturated inlet stream into a stream of pure helium with a helium content of 99.97% mol and a tail gas desorption stream, consisting mainly of nitrogen and residual impurities. The tail gas stream is directed to the helium compression unit. The stream of pure helium enters the helium liquefaction department, from where the helium stream, as one of the main product streams, is routed through line 29 to the storage and packing unit for liquid helium.
The tail gas compression section is used to collect the tail gas stream and purge it from helium-containing process equipment after the process and compress it for re-injection into the feed gas. This process significantly increases the helium recovery rate at the facility. After depressurization in the adsorbers for drying the nitrogen-helium mixture, the non-dried nitrogen-helium mixture is connected to the tail gas stream with CCA and fed to the tail gas compression section with a pressure of 0.13 MPa. The residual gas from the “cold box” for helium production is connected to the instrumentation air from the separation boundary and is supplied with a pressure of 0.5 MPa to the tail gas compression module. The compressed tail gases are cooled in the refrigerator of the tail gas compressor to a temperature of 47 ° C and separated from the remaining lubricating oil in the oil removal unit. The compressed tail gas is fed to a hydrogen removal unit for mixing with the feed gas.
The helium liquefaction unit receives a stream of liquid helium from the CCA unit, where it is liquefied using a modified Brighton cycle with three pressure levels, including the stage of preliminary cooling with liquid nitrogen from the storage and packing section of liquid nitrogen, the expansion and preliminary cooling stage of the Claude cycle, and also isoentropic expansion in the turbine and isoenthalpic expansion in the Joule-Thomson cycle to obtain liquid helium. Liquid helium is discharged from the helium liquefaction unit as the main product stream and is fed via
The low-pressure helium from the helium liquefaction unit is first compressed in the low-pressure helium compression unit to medium pressure and cooled to a temperature of 47 ° C in the refrigerator of the low-pressure helium compressor. Compressed medium-pressure helium is combined with medium-pressure helium from the helium liquefaction unit, and fed to the medium-pressure helium compression unit for final compression. Compressed high-pressure helium is cooled in the refrigerator of a medium-pressure helium compressor to 47 ° C and separated from the remaining lubricating oil on the oil removal unit.
The first residue containing hydrocarbons C 2 and higher from
33.BFLH from the ethane separation unit and
Purified BFLH enters through

In addition, the technological cycle includes a number of auxiliary compartments (not shown in FIG. 1) corresponding to the functioning of stages (p), (c) and (t): preparation of commercial fuel gas by compounding the methane fraction and compressed and dried ballast gas with addition in winter years of methanol, storage of liquid nitrogen and helium in Dewar vessels in the freight fleet and their loading into liquefied gas transport systems; storage and transportation of liquid methane, which can be generated by maintaining power on the heat pump compressors while reducing the proportion of excess nitrogen in the processed gas.
Tables 1-3 show some results of design calculations for a plant with a capacity of 5.338 million tons / year, which implements a method for the deep processing of natural helium-containing hydrocarbon gas with a high nitrogen content in the East Siberian deposits. As follows from table 1, which shows the quality of the feedstock and the final inorganic and organic products, the developed method provides high purity of the final products with a fairly simple technological scheme of the installation as a whole and providing an optimal energy-saving system of regenerative heat transfer, for example, the purity of organic products is within 95.5% (ethane in the ethane fraction) - 98.8% (butane in the butane fraction), and the purity of the produced nitrogen and helium is close to 100%. The methane produced (table 1) has a purity significantly greater than that allowed by the requirements and norms of the Russian Federation for commercial fuel gas (table 2) and practically meets the prospective requirements for export fuel for the countries of the Pacific region. Table 3 shows the material balance of the installation, indicating the minimization of losses of raw materials during its processing. A large enterprise for the processing of natural gas from East Siberian fields can consist of 7-10 plants examined, which ensures the flexibility of the enterprise due to the optimal functioning of individual plants, taking into account both market conditions and changes in the quality and quantity of hydrocarbon gas from various fields.
