SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment. Device comprises a bath with an electrode. The bath represents a plastic cylinder and is provided with a lined piston wherein the electrode is mounted and which is configured to move vertically and to rotate. A bath base has oval side stops slipping into an oval container. The piston is provided with a handle configured to adjust a medicinal substance. The oval container has a shape close to an eye orbit and oversizes it by 10-20 cm.
EFFECT: using provided invention ensures adherence to the orbit during electrophoresis procedure.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to medicine, namely to an ophthalmic technique, in particular to devices for electrophoresis of a drug substance in the eye tissue, and can be used in devices for physiotherapy procedures.

A device for electrophoresis of a medicinal substance in the eye tissue, containing a glass bath, in the side wall of which there is a hole for the introduction of a platinum or carbon rod electrode .. (see V. S. Ulashchik. Physico-pharmacological methods of treatment and prevention. - Minsk: Belarus, 1979, p. 26).

The disadvantage of this device is the inability to control the liquid level, the substance in this bath can leak out, the eye tissues do not come in contact with the dissolved substance, therefore, it does not have a therapeutic effect, the glass bath is fragile, easily breaking, there is no sealing of the bath with eyelid skin.

A device for electrophoresis of drugs in the tissue of the eye, containing an eyelid extension nozzle with a bath for drugs and an electrode, the device is equipped with a bracket located to rotate on the wall of the bath, and the electrode is mounted on the bracket with the ability to move in a vertical plane, while the eyelid the nozzle is an elastic vacuum suction cup (see A.S. SU No. 942744, class A61F 9/00).

The disadvantage of this device is that the drug substance affects not only pathologically altered, but also healthy tissues of the eye, which leads to disruption of the structure of the latter.

Known bath for the introduction of drugs into the tissues of the eye by electrophoresis, containing a container for a medicinal product with an electrode fixed in it, while it is made to hold the patient’s hand, and the end surface of the bath, designed to contact with the edges of the orbit, is made in the form of an oval with a wide and narrow ends close to the shape of the orbit, while the narrow end is raised above the wide end by 5-8 mm at an angle of 25-30 degrees to the end plane of the bathtub made of an elastic thermopolymer, and the electrode is fixed in the bath with the possibility of its removal and reinstallation (see US Pat. RU No. 2254883, CL A61N 1/30, A61H 35/02, publ. 06/27/2005).

The disadvantage of this bath is the design complexity due to the execution in the form of an oval with wide and narrow ends, close to the shape of the orbit, while the narrow end is raised above the wide end by 5-8 mm at an angle of 25-30 degrees to the end plane of the bath, which is not always corresponds to the shape of the eye, and also that it does not exclude accidental movements of the eyeball, which leads to disruption of the electrode contact with the pathological focus and leads to a destructive effect on healthy tissues, and there is no regulation of drug supply substance in the eye tissue.

The closest in technical essence and the achieved positive effect and adopted by the author for the prototype is a device for electrophoresis of a medicinal substance in the eye tissue, containing a bath with an electrode, while the bath is made in the form of a plastic cylinder and equipped with a piston with a gasket in which the electrode is mounted and which is made with the possibility of vertical and rotational movement, while the diameter of the cylindrical bath is 30-36 mm, and the base is made with oval side stops (see . The PM №18822, Cl. A61F 9/00, publ. 20.07.2001 city).

The disadvantage of this device is the loose fit of the end surface of the device to the edges of the orbit of the eye, which creates the leakage of the drug substance.

Disclosure of invention

The objective of the invention is to develop a device for electrophoresis of a medicinal substance in the eye tissue, having a snug fit of the device to the orbit of the eye by making the device in the form of a plastic cylinder with the possibility of a smooth transition in its upper part into an oval close to the shape of the orbit of the eye, high reliability and convenience in use, regulation of the drug in the eye tissue, local effects on the pathological focus, simplification and cheapening of the design, safety th material.

The technical result that can be achieved using the present invention is reduced to a snug fit of the device to the orbit of the eye, high reliability and ease of use, regulation of the drug in the eye tissue, simplification and cheapening of the design.

The technical result is achieved using a device for electrophoresis of a medicinal substance in the eye tissue, containing a bath with an active electrode, which is made in the form of a plastic cylinder and equipped with a piston with a gasket, while the active electrode is mounted in the piston with the possibility of vertical and rotational movement, and the base of the bath is made with oval lateral stops, and the active electrode is mounted in the piston with the ability to connect to the output terminals "+" and "-" located in the housing, inside A milliammeter connected to each other with a current regulator knob in the patient circuit, a button for switching on the current ranges and the eye of the signal lamp, the base of the bathtub made in the form of a plastic cylinder with oval lateral stops is made smoothly turning into an oval shaped tank, close to the shape orbits of the eye, exceeding its size by 10-20 mm, and the piston is equipped with a handle with the ability to regulate the drug substance.

Thus, the technical result is achieved due to the fact that the base of the bathtub is made with oval lateral stops smoothly turning into an oval-shaped container, close to the shape of the orbit of the eye, exceeding its size by 10-20 mm, with the possibility of wide functional use due to the individual size and the structure of the human eye, and the piston with a gasket is additionally equipped with a handle for regulating the level of the drug substance in the eye tissue.

The implementation of the invention

A device for electrophoresis of drugs in the eye tissue consists of a body (not shown in FIG.), Inside of which are mounted interconnected milliammeter 1 with a handle 2 of the current regulator in the patient circuit (not shown in FIG.), Button 3 for turning on the current ranges "5 "and" 50 ", peephole 4 of the signal lamp, button 5 of the device switch, output terminals 6" + "and" - "for connecting the conductors (not shown in Fig.), while the device includes an active electrode 7 by mounting 8 wires 9 with a tip 10 connected to the piston 11 with a gasket 12, while the active electrode 7 is mounted in the piston 11 with the possibility of vertical and rotational movement and is additionally equipped with a handle 13 for regulating the level of the drug substance in the eye tissue, while the piston 11 with the gasket 12 and the active electrode 7 are installed in the base 14 of the bath, made in the form of a plastic cylinder (not shown in Fig.), and the base 14 of the bath is made with oval lateral stops smoothly turning into a capacity 15 of an oval shape, close to the shape of the orbit of the eye, exceeding nd its size 10-20 mm, with broad functional application in view of individual size and structure of the human eye, and the indifferent electrode (FIG. not shown) mounted on the back of the patient’s neck.

A device for electrophoresis of a drug substance in the eye tissue is operated as follows.

The application of an indifferent electrode is installed on the back of the patient’s neck in a sitting or lying position, the container 15 is filled to the top with a freshly prepared and slightly warmed up to 28-30 degrees drug solution and a container 15 with the base 14 of the bath, made in the form of a plastic cylinder, is applied to the skin of the eyelids, but since the bath is made close to the shape of the orbit of the eye, exceeding its size by 10-20 mm, this creates a complete immersion of the eye in the drug substance, then set the level of drug about the substance using the handle 13 of the piston 11 with the gasket 12 so that the eye tissue is washed with the drug substance, while the patient’s open eye is completely immersed in the substance, the active electrode 7 is connected through a wire 9 with a tip 10 to terminal 6, and the active electrode 7 is mounted in the piston 11, with the possibility of vertical and rotational movement, while the second indifferent electrode is mounted on the back of the neck of the patient, and the polarity of the electrodes is determined by the chemical structure of the drug substance depending bridges from the etiology and nature of the disease, then by pressing the button 5 the eye 4 of the signal lamp lights up, the required current range from “5” is set using button 3 to turn on the current ranges “5” and “50”, then slowly turning the knob 2 of the current regulator in the circuit the patient is set the required current value on a milliammeter 1, while the current strength is set incrementally from 0.5 to 1.0-1.5 mA. The duration of the procedure is from 5 to 20 minutes.

After the procedure, by turning the knob 2 of the current regulator, the current is gradually reduced to zero, after which the device is turned off with button 5 and only then the electrodes are removed from the patient.

The course of treatment shows 10-15 procedures.

The invention in comparison with the prototype and other known technical solutions has the following advantages:

- tight fit of the device to the orbit of the eye;

- wide functional application;

- high reliability and ease of use;

- regulation of the drug in the eye tissue;

- local effects on the pathological focus;

- simplification and cheaper construction;

- manufacturing of the device from environmentally friendly material.

A device for electrophoresis of a medicinal substance in the eye tissue, containing a bath with an electrode, wherein the bath is made in the form of a plastic cylinder and is equipped with a piston with a gasket in which the electrode is mounted and which is capable of vertical and rotational movement, and the base of the bath is made with oval lateral stops, characterized in that the base of the bath with oval lateral stops is made smoothly passing into an oval-shaped container, and the piston is equipped with a handle with the possibility of adjustable ia of a medicinal substance, while the oval-shaped container is made close to the shape of the orbit of the eye, exceeding its size by 10-20 mm.
