Abstract
Description
The invention relates to means for removing oil residues and grease stains from devices and equipment, as well as from human skin.
It is known that representatives of the alkane (paraffin) series of hydrocarbons with a high boiling point are good solvents for oil and grease contaminants, since their surface tension values are equal or their values are close to each other and, as a result, interfacial energy is minimal.
It is known that funds from polypropylene materials, in particular napkins, can be used at various transport enterprises, including ship, aircraft and motor transport enterprises, as well as at other enterprises whose economic activity is associated with the use of oil and oil-containing substances .
Closest to the proposed solution is a sorbent wipe (PM No. 56268) to remove contaminants from petroleum products, in which Spanbond non-woven polypropylene material is used as a polymeric material. The service life of such a napkin is limited by the adsorption properties of the material and does not allow it to be used repeatedly with significant contamination with oil products.
The objective of the invention is the creation of wipes for the effective removal of oil residues and grease stains, with significant mechanical strength and the possibility of reuse.
В качестве растворителя используют химически инертные жидкости, которые являются представителями алканового (парафинового) ряда углеводородов с высокой температурой плавления, например гексадекан (Тпл=18°С) или гептадекан (Тпл=22,5°С).The technical result is achieved due to the fact that the napkin is made of polypropylene material in the form of a flat parallelepiped with dimensions of 30-120 mm in length and 30-50 mm in width, impregnated with hexadecane or heptadecane with a solvent saturation coefficient of 2-5. As a solvent, chemically inert liquids are used, which are representatives of the alkane (paraffin) series of hydrocarbons with a high melting point, for example, hexadecane (T PL = 18 ° C) or heptadecane (T PL = 22.5 ° C).
As the base impregnated with a cleaning solvent, materials of various absorption capacity and different chemical nature (polyester, cotton and polypropylene) are used. The maximum sorption capacity (K max ) of wipes of the same mass (m sph ) is determined by the weight method after impregnation of samples from different materials and calculation by the formula , wherein - ultimate mass of the absorbed solvent. It has been established that napkins made of polypropylene ( KPP ~ 10) and cotton fabric (K CB ~ 8), slightly smaller polyester material (K PE ~ 5) have the maximum sorption capacity. The results of an experimental test of the volatility of hexadecane at a temperature of 50 ° C for 20 days showed that polypropylene wipes have the maximum solvent retention capacity (table 1). The advantage of polypropylene in comparison with other materials is also its mechanical strength (resistance to abrasion), therefore this material is optimal for the manufacture of napkins.
Due to the use of hexadecane or heptadecane as a solvent, oil and fat contaminants dissolve well due to close surface tension values ( solvent σ = 29 · 10 3 N / m; oil σ = 28 · 10 3 , N / m; oil oil = 30 · 10 3 , N / m) and then easily removed from instruments and equipment, as well as from human skin.
The volatility (volatility) of hexadecane from several parallel samples of polypropylene napkins (No. 2a-5a) was tested in a heating cabinet at a temperature of 50 ° C, and the volatility of the same samples (No. 2b-5b) under open conditions at
It follows from the figure that, regardless of the temperature of the experiment, the volatility of the solvent absorbed by the tissue is noticeably lower than its volatility from the open surface of the liquid poured into a glass (1a and 1b). But, as can be seen from the figure, due to the high boiling point of hexadecane (T bale = 286 ° C), its evaporation even from an open surface is insignificant and obeys a linear relationship. The relative loss of mass of liquid from napkins even less and amounted to less than 12% at a temperature of 50 ° C, and not more than 2% at a temperature of 20 ° C for twenty days of testing.
The proposed solvents can slightly evaporate from polypropylene material, for example, the evaporation of solvents at room temperature (25 ° C) is less than 2%, which, combined with the mechanical strength and high sorption capacity of the selected base, allows the use of a napkin repeatedly and thereby prolongs its service life .
18°C.To completely prevent solvent loss, wipes can be stored in sealed containers or at temperatures below 18 ° C.
The proposed napkin may have dimensions and shape, convenient for use. The most acceptable is the shape of a flat parallelepiped. Dimensions may vary depending on the purpose within: length from 30 mm to 120 mm, width from 30 mm to 50 mm.
Depending on the degree of contamination of the cleaned objects, the saturation coefficient of the basis of the napkin with solvent can range from 2 to 5. Such low saturation coefficients not only save solvent, but also makes the technological use of wipes more hygienic. If necessary, the cloth can be used several times. After finishing work with napkins, it is enough to wash your hands with soap and water.
