Abstract
Description
Currently, two types of plastic glasses are used in the treatment of a patient in dentistry: medical transparent dental glasses, which protect the eyeball from mechanical and chemical damage, and orange-coated dental glasses to prevent burns from ultraviolet rays when using a helium lamp in tooth filling process. Both types of dental glasses are widely distributed in the market of dental equipment (firms "" - China, firms "" - Ukraine).
A disadvantage in treatment in dentistry is the discomfort associated with the change of one type of glasses to another when working with the same patient during treatment.
The aim of the invention is to obtain this type of dental glasses, combining the functions of protection against mechanical damage and ultraviolet radiation during treatment, which improves the performance of the dentist.
The goal is achieved by replacing plastic lenses with glass lenses with a sprayed protective coating, which provides simultaneous protection against mechanical and ultraviolet influences. The effect of spraying a protective coating gives an orange color when exposed to ultraviolet rays, thereby protecting the eyeball from burns. The essence of the method lies in the fact that on the surface of the glass a 2-layer metallization is formed by the method of magnetron sputtering of a certain thickness (Figure 1). Spraying is carried out on a Leybold-Z600 magnetron sputtering device at room temperature under the following conditions: the first metal layer is titanium (Ti), the sputtering time is 5 minutes, the thickness of the deposited layer is 30 ± 2 nm; the second layer of metal is copper (Cu), the deposition time is 3 min and the thickness is 75 ± 5 nm.
The proposed method allows to obtain a protective layer of the lens, which is able to reflect ultraviolet light, thereby protecting the eyeball from burns.
The invention is confirmed by the following examples.
