Description

The invention relates to board games, namely, intellectual economic games that allow not only to use basic economic skills, but also to acquire new economic knowledge, the ability to predict and navigate economic situations, develop erudition and creative imagination of participants.
Board game devices are widely known, containing a board with a playing surface marked out according to the game theme, markers or chips, the number of which corresponds to the number of participants in the game, and a random number generator, the function of which is performed by a die tossed to determine the order in which game participants can move your chips on the playing surface in accordance with the rules of the game. At the end of the game, the points scored by the participants are calculated to determine the winner in it. Such games include, in particular, the gaming device according to US patent No. 5988642, A63F 3/00, 1998. Such games are quite easy to use and are well perceived by children of preschool and primary school age, but quickly lose their game appeal due to their uniformity and the lack of the possibility of manifesting the individual abilities of the players.
Known board game according to the patent of the Russian Federation No. 2111785, A63F 3/04, A63F 3/06, 1998, designed to simulate commercial operations and processes in order to obtain primary skills in a market economy, including a board with two playing fields, one of which is divided into sectors (private playing field), and the other is made in the form of a plane bounded on all sides (selection field), a random number generator, conditional money, game chips and game elements. The selection field has inside itself places for placing instructions related to the player, sections of the personal playing field or game elements. Each section of a personal playing field denotes a specific object and has inside itself places for placing game chips and main game elements, and these places and game elements have designations of parts of the object of this section. Between the personal game field and the selection field, a control field is located, each section of which corresponds to a section of the personal game field and has inside itself spaces for placing game chips and main game elements. This game has much more complex rules and requires some knowledge in the field of economics, but by the principle of its structure it is similar to the previous one, it is also purely probabilistic in nature and has the same drawbacks.
Also known is a board economic game to simulate the activities of an entrepreneur according to the patent of the Russian Federation No. 2090231, A63F 3/00, 1997, containing a game board divided into sequentially arranged cells with randomly alternating designations, dice, chips to indicate the position of each player on the board, a set of playing cards, including cards that simulate banknotes, and cards that indicate teams for the actions of players, funds that simulate signs of material property and means of choice, determining the course and Games, as well as a card with a table of the price level for goods and auxiliary cards, one of whose groups is marked with a patent, the second is equipment, the third is raw materials, components, and the fourth is personnel. Moreover, funds imitating signs of tangible property are made in the form of individual cards with markings indicating the model of the enterprise, and divided into parts, each of which corresponds to one of the groups of auxiliary cards. The means of choice are made in the form of sets of cards with markings corresponding to the cells of the playing field, one of the sets having a marking denoting property, the second a consultation, the third a surprise of business, the fourth a insurance certificate, the fifth bill. The cells of the playing field have the designations of institutions, objects of a market economy and teams, some of which imitate situations involving certain payments. During the game, participants perform the actions provided for by the respective cards. At the same time, each of the participants must independently manually record the amounts of debts, the time of obtaining loans and issuing bills. The calculation of annual interest on bank loans and bills is made using a timer depending on the number of players.
The rules of this game are replete with complex financial and economic concepts and calculations, and the playing field with cells arranged sequentially along its perimeter implies multiple movement along the same path, which reduces its amusement and accessibility to different age groups of players. In addition, in this game there is also too much dependence of the game results on random number sensors (dice) and team cards, which leads to a limitation of the player’s ability to take initiative and own erudition, affect the level of their income and, therefore, the upholstered game the situation.
The closest in technical essence to the claimed is a gaming device according to US patent No. 5503399, A63F 3/00, 1996, containing a board with a playing path running along its perimeter, divided into squares, each of which is equipped with an inscription characterizing any difficult a situation in which business people may find themselves. This game track determines the way the chips move during the game. The device also contains game tokens by the number of players, dice, three types of game cards with tasks and questions and several answers, one of which is correct, as well as game cards that simulate banknotes (means of payment). For successful advancement along the game track, the player must choose the optimal answer to the question in the card he received.
The first type of game cards includes questions and situational tasks related to any one profession, and several answers to these questions; the second type of cards includes definitions of various terms and main provisions from the field of business and several answers to choose from; the third type is a set of so-called controversial cards relating to professional situational tasks that exclude a variety of answers to them. Moreover, the correct answers to professional questions of the first type of cards and definitions for the second type of cards are determined by the Guide for this game, made in a separate book. The correctness of the answers to the tasks of the "controversial" cards is determined collectively by the other players. The difficulty level of the questions may vary.
This famous game allows participants to explore possible solutions to various business situations and how these solutions can lead to a positive increase in salaries and careers. However, those who have mastered this game, over time, lose their initial interest in it, due to the limited ability of players to take the initiative and their erudition and affect the overall game situation. This is expressed in the following. During the game, its participants move around the game board, depending on the score obtained with the dice, along the same game track. Having reached the starting cell, they receive a certain bonus (reward) and continue to move along the same track over and over again. At the same time, players perform strictly regulated actions of the same type. Even the level of complexity of the questions that participants must answer, i.e. the corresponding set of cards is chosen before the start of the game not at the request of the players, but depending on their level of education. The constant appeal to the Guide to verify the correctness of the answers is inconvenient, not to mention the fact that it can be lost or damaged over time; and the presence of "controversial" cards containing ambiguous answers can lead to unnecessary and lengthy disputes, and even to a quarrel between players. In addition, questions and situational tasks in the cards concern only the sphere of business and professional activity, do not allow players to sufficiently demonstrate their general erudition and thereby affect the final result of the game, which reduces the gaming capabilities of the famous game.
The invention solves the problem of expanding gaming capabilities, increasing the entertainment and information content of the game. Moreover, the result achieved by using the claimed invention allows the player to acquire communication skills with partners and competitors, contributes to the development of logical thinking, learning a systematic approach, gaining confidence in decision-making in real life situations (risk, uncertainty, conflict of interest, different levels of control over the situation), the acquisition in a game form of knowledge not only in the field of economics and business, but also in different sections of science, literature and art.
Achieving this result is ensured by the fact that the board game contains a playing field with a playing track on it, divided into sections, at least two types of sets of game cards, one of which includes instructions on the actions of players or situational tasks, and the other includes questions and options answers to them, one of which is correct, a set of cards simulating banknotes, a set of game elements to indicate the location of each player on the playing field and a random number generator, for example, in the form of ig real bones.
Moreover, the game is additionally equipped with a set of cards with marking indicating real estate objects containing indications of the type of real estate object, the industry of the city economy to which it relates, and the cost characteristics of the object, and the game track is made in the form of a web-like structure comprising at least two concentric annular sections and at least two radial sections, with the possibility of choosing the direction of movement along them, depending on the desire of the players in cases established by the rules of the game .
The sections of the game track are made with randomly alternating symbols and empty cells, and the game cards are made in the form of sets of cards with markings corresponding to the cells of the game track.
A set of sets of game cards, including instructions on the actions of players, is made in the form of three sets of cards with different labels, for example, “Surprise”, “Direction” and “Message”.
Game cards containing questions and answers are made of at least two levels of difficulty and include questions that reveal the general erudition of the players.
In each of the game cards containing questions and answers, the correct answer is selected. Both types of game cards are double-sided, on the cover side of which graphic elements are indicated indicating the type of cards, and on the back - the text part.
Cards with marking indicating real estate objects include indications of the type of real estate object, the sector of the city economy to which it relates, and the cost characteristics of the object, and these cards are made in different colors depending on the industry sector.
Cards simulating banknotes are made at different face value.
The annular sections of the playing field can be made circular or polygonal, including rectangular. The internal fields (spaces) of the annular sections of the playing field are divided into sectors that are different in color: the internal field of the smaller ring section is divided into two sectors, and the internal field of the larger ring section is divided into at least two sectors.
The invention is illustrated by drawings, in which figure 1 shows a General view of the playing field; figure 2 (a-c) - examples of the implementation of game cards containing instructions on the actions of the players; figure 3 is an example of the implementation of game cards containing questions and answers to them; figure 4 is an example of the performance of cards that simulate banknotes; figure 5 is an example of the execution of cards denoting real estate.
The board game comprises a game field 1 (FIG. 1) with a game track 2 placed thereon, made in the form of a web-like structure, comprising at least two concentric annular sections 3 (small, or internal) and 4 (large, or external), and at least two radial sections 5. Sections 3, 4 and 5 of the game track 2 are divided into randomly alternating empty and marked cells 6 corresponding to the marking of game cards. Part of cells 6 may also have another marking, denoting the so-called "special fields", hit on which is determined by the rules of the game.
Concentric annular sections 3 and 4 of the game track 2 can be made in the form of circles or polygons with any number of angles, including in the form of rectangles. The radial sections 5 intersect the annular sections 3 and 4, connecting the central platform 7 of the playing field 1 with the outer section of the game track 2. In the embodiment of the game shown in FIG. 1, eight radial sections 5, which is optimal from the point of view of the aspect ratio of the playing field 1 and the number and size of game cards placed on it. The number of ring sections 3 and 4 should be at least two (as shown in figure 1), although there may be more, which will entail an increase in the number of playing cards and the size of the playing field.
The internal fields (spaces) of 8 ring sections 3 and 4 of the playing field 1 are divided into sectors, similar to urban areas. In this case, the internal field of the smaller annular portion 3 is divided into two sectors, and the internal field of the larger annular portion 4 is divided into four sectors that differ in color. Such a structure of the playing field 1, as well as dividing it into separate sections and their different colors, allow players to move from one level (ring section) to another with the possibility of choosing the direction of movement as they wish, when it is provided for by the rules of the game, a, c on the other hand, correctly and quickly navigate in the sectors of the playing field in order to avoid placing two enterprises of the same industry in the same district of the city, which is not allowed by the rules of the game.
The game also includes a set of sets of cards, including at least two types of sets of game cards, one of which includes instructions on the actions of players or situational tasks (cards 9), and the other includes questions and answers to them (cards 10); a set of cards 11 simulating banknotes (figure 4); a set of cards 12 with a marking denoting real estate (figure 5).
In turn, game cards 9, containing instructions on the actions of players or situational tasks, can be of several types. In particular, in the embodiment of the game according to the invention, the game cards 9 are made in the form of three sets of cards marked “Surprise”, “Direction” and “Message”, respectively (Fig. 2, a-c).
In each of the cards 10 (Fig. 3), containing a question and answer options for it, one of the answers is correct and is highlighted either in font size or form, or in colored font, or some kind of icon (letter, “tick”, “asterisk” ”, Symbol, etc.). This allows players to immediately, during the course of the game, verify the correctness of the answer given by the participant, and not waste time searching for him.
Cards 10 contain questions revealing the general erudition of players and relating to various fields of knowledge, from the history of the ancient world and mythology to literature, astronomy, and geography. These cards are made of at least two difficulty levels, indicated, for example, by the marking “Chance” and “Chance II”, respectively. Each player can independently choose the level of difficulty of the questions; the effectiveness of the player’s responses (more or less the number of points received by him) will depend on this choice.
Both types of game cards 9 and 10 are double-sided, on the cover side of which there is a marking (graphic elements and inscriptions) indicating the type of cards, and on the back - the text part.
The set of cards 11 simulating banknotes contains several types of cards that differ in the nominal value of their value (for example, 500, 1000, 5000, 10000, 50000 and 100,000 units). For colorfulness and enhancement of distinguishing ability, various images can be applied to each type of card 11, in particular, representatives of the plant or animal world (as shown in FIG. 4), technical objects (vehicles of different eras), arbitrary ornaments, etc.
Cards 12 marked with real estate are one-sided and contain indications of the type of real estate, the industry of the city economy to which it belongs, and the cost characteristics of the property, and these cards are made in different colors depending on the industry. In an embodiment, cards of this kind may also be double-sided.
In addition, the game also includes a set of game elements to indicate the position of each player on the playing field, for example, chips differing in color or shape, and a random number generator, for example, in the form of dice. The number of chips corresponds to the maximum number of players, and in principle, a roulette or a count of fingers, simultaneously shown by players, can also be used as a random number generator.
Dice, chips and other possible accessories of the game do not differ from well-known and therefore are not shown in the drawings.
The game is designed for 2-6 and 12 players and is used as follows.
It is assumed that the playing field 1 is a city in the form of a central district (inner circle), during the game expanding to the periphery (outer circle). Each player receives one or more industries for business development (from a set of cards 12). Each industry includes a “building plot” and existing enterprises of several levels, differing in cost. Business in these industries needs to be developed as widely as possible by raising the level of enterprises and placing them throughout the city, from the center to the periphery. The more developed the industry, the more it generates income.
The task of the players is to maximize the development of all the branches obtained and to score the points specified in the rules of the game as quickly as possible.
The game begins with the territory of the city center (small circle). After the players acquire all sections of the field in the central part in accordance with the rules, the game expands to the second round.
Before the start of the game, all game cards ("CHANCE" and "CHANCE II", "SURPRISE", "DIRECTION" and "MESSAGE") are laid down on the corresponding fields, and also all chips are placed on the central platform of the 7 playing field, the number which corresponds to the number of players. Then the players divide among themselves the cards of the branches (cards 12) and decide which of them will be the banker, managing the finances of the bank. At the same time, each player is a monopolist in the sectors of the urban economy that he has inherited.
All cards 11 simulating banknotes are placed in the bank, and each of the players is given a certain equal amount of banknotes from the bank.
Then the participants play the sequence of moves. To do this, each of them rolls dice. The first player to go is the one with the most points, followed by the others in descending order. Before making the first move, the player must choose the direction of movement.
During the game, participants throw dice and move forward in accordance with the number of points dropped out. Once on a cell in game track 2, game participants perform actions associated with this cell.
If the cell is empty, the player can buy this plot by paying to the bank the cost of the “building plot” indicated at the bottom of the card 12 indicating the property selected for the development of the industry. If the site belongs to another player, then the person who lands on it pays the owner the rent in the amount indicated on the side of the corresponding card 12. If the site already belongs to the player who lands on him, he can make a profit from the bank in the amount of the same rent or raise the value of an enterprise in this industry to the next level by paying to the bank the corresponding amount indicated at the bottom of card 12 of the next industry level (for example, developing a store to the level of a department store in the Trade sector with the corresponding favoring replacement cards on the playing field).
In the event that a player lands on the cells with the message “MESSAGE”, “SURPRISE” and “DIRECTION”, he takes the top card from the pile of cards 9 of the corresponding name and carries out the instructions written on it, then puts it next to the pile with the text down . After the deck is over, it is mixed and put back into place.
The rules established that the movement in a circle can be carried out only clockwise, the movement from any intersection - only towards the center. If the player has stopped in the center, then before throwing the dice, he can choose the direction of movement at his discretion.
During the game, participants have the opportunity to replenish the budget of their company thanks to the erudition that they can show on the "CHANCE" field. The game has two difficulty levels of questions on erudition. Each player chooses for himself the level of questions at his discretion and in the process of the game answers, respectively, the questions “CHANCE” or “CHANCE II”.
If a player enters the "CHANCE" field, then his neighbor raises the next card 10 from the corresponding pile, and the player in the meantime announces a bet. The cost of the bet depends on the level of difficulty of the questions chosen by the player. Then the player is read out the question and answer options, from which you need to choose the right one. If the answer is correct, the bank pays the winnings; if it is incorrect, the money goes to the bank. With any answer, the player can decide to re-play, that is, immediately answer the question of another card 10. If the answer is correct, the bank pays twice the cost of the initial bet, and the player gets the right to move to any part of the playing field; if the answer is incorrect, the player pays to the bank double the cost of the initial bet. The control over the correctness of the answer is carried out by the player reading the question directly on the same card, which increases the dynamics of the game compared to well-known games in which the correctness of the answer is checked using a separate manual.
Instead of betting, a player can increase the level of any of his square cells. With the correct answer to the question from the card, the enterprise level in the selected area of the field rises by one, if it is incorrect, the player either pays the enterprise value indicated in the lower part of the corresponding card 12 to the bank or lowers the level of the enterprise in this industry by one.
In addition to the marked cells 6 mentioned above, corresponding to the types of game cards 9 and 10, part of the cells of the game track 2 can be marked with the so-called “special fields”, for example, “Hospital”, “Police”, “Investment company”, “Insurance company” "," Exchange "," Prison "," City Hall "," Church ", etc., falling on which the players act in accordance with the rules, as well as the marking" Win "and" Lose ", in which the player may risk and take the "CHANCE" card of one of two difficulty levels. If he answers the question correctly, then either the prize is doubled, or, instead of paying, he will receive money from the bank, respectively. If the answer was incorrect, the player receives half as much as he won or, accordingly, pays another half of the lost amount to the bank. In the embodiment of the playing field shown in figure 1, these marked cells are located mainly on the radial sections 5 of the game track 2.
The game is considered finished when one of the players gains the number of points (monetary units) specified in the rules of the game.
Thus, the declared board game differs from the known ones by the expansion of gaming capabilities due to the fact that during the game, participants can independently choose the direction of movement along the game track, the level of difficulty of the questions and the need to answer them. In addition, increases the fun and informational content of the game. At the same time, the result achieved by using the invention allows the player to develop logical thinking, to acquire knowledge in a game form not only in the field of economics and business, but also in various areas of science, literature and art.
