Description

The invention relates to drilling wells and is intended, in particular, for expanding devices from shaped pipes when installing them in wells.

A device for expanding pipes in wells is known, including a housing with a central channel, threads for connecting to downhole equipment, and a conical surface with recesses in which rollers are mounted on axles provided with shanks. In this case, the upper ends of the axes of the rollers are detachably fixed in the housing (RF patent No. 2144128, E 21 V 29/10, 2000).

The main disadvantage of this device is the insufficient strength of its body due to the need to perform drilling under the axle shanks in it.

Another disadvantage of the known device is the difficulty of threading on the shanks of the axle assemblies and the impossibility of replacing them in case of failure, since they are made individually for each device.

Closest to the invention in terms of technical nature and the number of matching essential features is a device for expanding pipes in wells, comprising a housing with a central channel, threads for connecting to downhole equipment, and a conical surface with recesses in which the rollers mounted on the axes are placed, the upper the ends of which are fixed in the housing detachably, and the lower ones are installed in supports placed in the housing using hinges with the possibility of turning them in a plane passing through the longitudinal eometricheskie axis of the housing and rollers (RF patent №2191883, E 21 B 29/10, 2002).

The main disadvantage of this device is that it does not provide the correct cylindrical shape of the flared pipes, especially their end sections. The through section of profile overlappers, for example, took a certain shape of triangles, due to the insufficient stiffness of the material of the pipes making up them. This hindered the subsequent descent into the well of the drill bits, and there was a need for re-expansion of the overlap.

Another disadvantage of the prototype device is the premature wear of the rollers due to abrasion on the walls of an open hole during the descent of the device, especially in deviated and horizontal wells.

Regarding the technical problem being solved, the indicated disadvantages are inherent in the analogue (see above).

The objective of the invention is to increase the operability of the device and the quality of the expansion of pipes.

This is achieved by the fact that in the described device for expanding pipes in a well, comprising a housing with a central channel, threads for connecting to downhole equipment, and a conical surface with recesses in which rollers mounted on axles are placed, the upper ends of which are detachably fixed in the housing and the lower ones are mounted in supports placed in the housing by means of hinges with the possibility of rotation in a plane passing through the longitudinal geometric axes of the housing and rollers, according to the invention, the housing is equipped with a with protrusions placed symmetrically on its conical surface between the rollers, while the maximum diameter of the circle circumscribed around the protrusions is approximately equal to the nominal diameter of the well in the installation interval of the expandable pipes.

This increases the operability of the device by preventing premature wear of the rollers when the device is lowered into the well, and due to the additional centering of the device, the quality of pipe expansion increases, which eliminates repeated operations to correct the marriage.

Another difference of the described device is that the radial protrusions of the housing are made in the form of convex segmented plates made of carbide material and rigidly fixed to the housing.

This ensures the most optimal structural form of the radial protrusions of the casing, increases its strength characteristics and allows the use of the protrusions as additional rolling elements, which reduces the load on the rollers and reduces their wear during flaring.

Figure 1 shows the device in its initial position before the flaring of the profile overlap; figure 2 - the device in the process of expanding the profile overlap; figure 3 is a section aa in figure 1; figure 4 is a section bB in figure 1; figure 5 - section bb in figure 2.

A device for expanding pipes in a well (Fig. 1) comprises a housing 1 with a central channel 2 and threads 3 and 4 for connecting to downhole equipment. In the middle part of the housing 1 there is a conical surface 5 in which recesses 6 are made, in which the axles 7 are mounted with conical rollers 8 mounted on them. The upper ends 9 of the axles 7 are detachably and with gaps 10 are fixed by means of a sleeve 11 in the sockets 12, and the lower 13 - in the hinges 14 installed in the supports 15 so that the axis 7 with the rollers 8 can be deflected from the housing 1 in a plane passing through the longitudinal geometric axes of the housing 1 and the rollers 8, removed from the hinges 14 and replaced with new ones. The supports 15 are mounted in the housing 1 by welding.

The housing 1 has radial protrusions in the form of convex segmented plates 16 (FIGS. 1 and 3) made of carbide material (for example, RELIT-3-3 alloy TU 48-19-279-82) and rigidly fixed (for example, by welding) symmetrically on the conical surface 5 of the housing 1, between the rollers 8. Moreover, the maximum diameter D of the circle described around the plates 16 extending outside the housing 1 is approximately equal to the nominal diameter of the well in the installation interval of the expandable pipes. So, for a well with a diameter of 216 mm, a flare prototype was made with a circle diameter of 215 mm described around the plates 16. Moreover, the maximum thickness of the plates 16 in their convex part was 7.5 mm.

To remove the rollers 8 from the recesses 6 of the housing 1 to the working position (Fig. 2), the device is equipped with a hydraulic annular piston 17 located in the central channel 2, axially spring-loaded with a spring 18 and having pushers 19 interacting with the upper ends 9 of the axles 7.

The magnitude of the output of the rollers 8 to the operating position is controlled by the size of the gaps 10 between the sleeve 11 and the upper ends 9 of the axles 7, which is approximately equal to the difference between the inner diameter of the profile pipe 20 (Fig. 5) after its expansion and the diameter of the well 21 (Fig. 1). This is due to the fact that the profile pipe 20 can be installed in the expanded zone 22 of the well 21 with confidence in sweat, which ensures the free passage of the drilling tool through the profile pipe during subsequent drilling of the well.

The operation of the device is illustrated by the example of flaring profile pipes 20 when they isolate the absorption zone of the drilling fluid (Fig.2, 4, 5).

Profile pipes 20 are lowered into a previously expanded interval 22 (absorption zone) of the well 21 and expanded by creating internal hydraulic pressure until their walls are pressed against the wall of the extended interval 22 of the well 21 (Fig. 1). Then, using the thread 3, the device is connected to the drill pipe string (not shown) and lowered into the well 21. In this case, the plates 16 reliably center the device in the bore and prevent the rollers from attrition 8. When the device reaches the upper end of the profile pipes 20, the pipe string starts to rotate while creating axial load and flushing the pipe cavity and device through the Central channel 2 of the housing 1 by pumping liquid. Under the action of a differential pressure, the annular piston 17, compressing the spring 18, moves down to the stop 23 and, acting with pushers 19 on the upper ends 9 of the axles 7, displays the rollers 8 in the working position (figure 2). With further rotation of the drill pipe string, sections 24 (FIG. 4) of the profile pipes 20 that are not compressed by the fluid pressure are straightened until their entire outer surface is pressed against the walls of the expanded section 22 of the well 21 (FIG. 5). In this case, the plates 16 with their bulges also participate in the process of expanding the pipes 20, thereby enhancing the efficiency of the rollers 8 both during the flaring and centering of the pipes 20. Due to this, the entire inner surface of the pipes 20 becomes cylindrical and the service life of the rollers 8 is increased.

After the flaring of the profile pipes 20, the drill pipe string with the device is lifted from the well.

The described improvements can improve the quality and reliability of the installation of profile pipes in wells, which ensures the free passage of the drilling tool through profile overlaps during subsequent drilling of wells. In addition, increasing the efficiency of flaring and the duration of the rollers without replacement.
