Abstract
Description
The invention relates to sorption technology, specifically to methods for producing sorbents that can be used to purify aqueous solutions of heavy metals, for example, copper and zinc.
[1].Known methods for producing plant-based sorbents, for example, active carbons by treating wood at high temperatures from 500 to 900 o [1].
The disadvantage of this method is the complexity of the technology. A method for producing a plant-based sorbent — wood sawdust by treating them with a chemical reagent — 1 (2-hydroxyethyl) - 4, 5, 6, 7 tetrahydroindole [2] in an acetone solution and holding for 12 hours is described.
When tested for the purification of aqueous sorbent solutions, the capacity was from 0.8 to 1.44 mg / g for various metals under static conditions.
The disadvantages of the method are the complexity of the technology and low sorption capacity.
The purpose of the invention is the simplification of technology and increase sorption capacity. This goal is achieved by the fact that as the raw material of the plant base, crusts of melons and gourds are used, for example, table watermelon and melon - a waste of the process of processing their fruits (pulp) into pastille, jam [3]. Sometimes crusts of watermelon and melon are used for making candied fruit [3]. The crusts of watermelon and melon are peels with an adjacent solid inedible part. Crusts contain up to 93 wt. % water, fiber and protein-carbohydrate component (complex). To obtain a sorbent peel of melons, for example watermelon and melon (in the ripening stage), 4-8 mm thick is cut into slices of 5-10 • 10-15 mm in size, washed with water to unpainted and transparent wash water, dried at a temperature of 60-65 o C to a constant mass (air-dry state), crushed to a powder state, sifted, a 0.2-2 mm fraction is taken.
Получают сорбенты - сыпучие порошки с насыпной массой 0,3-0,6 г/см3, содержащие не менее 25 мас.% клетчатки и протеиновоуглеводный комплекс, характеризуемый по содержанию азота по Кьельдалю не менее 0,8 мас.%.Sorbents are obtained — free-flowing powders with a bulk density of 0.3-0.6 g / cm 3 containing at least 25 wt.% Fiber and a protein-carbohydrate complex characterized by a Kjeldahl nitrogen content of at least 0.8 wt.%.
Sorbents make it possible to clean aqueous solutions of heavy metals, for example, copper and zinc with a sorption capacity of 2.7 to 4 mg / g.
1. Example 1
Получают 18 г сорбента - порошка светло-коричневого цвета с насыпной массой 0,36 г/см3, содержащего 35 мас.% клетчатки и азота по Кьельдалю 1,7 мас.%.Watermelon peels in an amount of 300 g, 6 mm thick and 10 • 15 mm in size are washed with water in a ratio of 1: 3 to unpainted clear wash water, dried at 60-65 o C to constant weight (air-dry state), crushed, sieved, selected fraction 0.2-2 mm. Obtain 18 g of sorbent powder of light brown color with a bulk density of 0.36 g / cm 3 containing 35 wt.% Fiber and nitrogen according to Kjeldahl 1.7 wt.%.
2. Example 2
Корки дыни в количестве 300 г толщиной 5 мм и размером 8•15 мм, как в примере 1, промывают, сушат, измельчают и отбирают фракцию 0,2-2 мм, получают 21 г сорбента желтоватого цвета с насыпной массой 0,56 г/см3, содержащего 28 мас.% клетчатки и азота по Кьельдалю 1,0 мас.%.Melon peels in an amount of 300 g with a thickness of 5 mm and a size of 8 • 15 mm, as in Example 1, are washed, dried, ground and a 0.2-2 mm fraction is taken, 21 g of a yellowish sorbent with a bulk density of 0.56 g / are obtained cm 3 containing 28 wt.% fiber and nitrogen according to Kjeldahl 1.0 wt.%.
Example 3. Tests for sorption capacity.
Into a flask with a capacity of 100 ml add 1 g of the sorbent according to Example 1 and 40 ml of an aqueous solution containing 100 mg / l of copper in the form of sulfate, mix, leave at room temperature, and check by chemical analysis the copper content in the solution over the precipitate to a constant value. After 3 hours, no copper was found in the solution. Sorption capacity 4.0 mg / g.
Tests of sorbents are carried out analogously to example 3. The data are summarized in table.
Thus, the proposed method allows to simplify the technology and increase the sorption capacity of the sorbents.
