Description

 The invention relates to the field of technology, which helps to remove ice or icicles from the eaves of the roofs of various buildings and structures.
 This area can be expanded in the direction of using this invention to remove ice from the planes and elements of aircraft subjected to this phenomenon during flight, antenna devices, and other similar devices subject to icing.
 A device is known for removing ice from the eaves of roofs and structures, including a movable rigid element located along the eaves for striking ice. (Patent of the Russian Federation 2096567, IPC: E 04 D 13/076, 1997).
 A disadvantage of the known device is the low efficiency of the device due to icing of the device itself moving a rigid element along the ledge, and, in addition, its use for high-rise buildings is practically excluded.
 Close in technical essence is a device for removing ice from the eaves of roofs of buildings and structures, including a source of mechanical impulses with a node for its attachment to a building or structure and an elastic element located along the eaves of the roof, connected with sources of mechanical impulses. (Patent of the Russian Federation 1638285, IPC: E 04 D 13/06, 1991).
 The disadvantage of this invention is the low efficiency of the action of the elastic element on ice due to the rigid fastening of the latter to the eaves, as a result of which the excited vibrations in the elastic element damp in the nearest and the impact zone of the source of mechanical impulses. In addition, the design of the mount, also installed on the roof cornice, dampens mechanical impulses from the source, which further reduces the efficiency of ice removal.
 In addition, both devices are technologically complex and cumbersome, providing only a mechanical effect on ice and snow, which leads to increased danger for people who are near the building where the roof is being treated.
 Known eaves roof overhangs, which are used to place drainage devices (trays, gutters, drains and funnels) and to prevent water and snow from getting on the outer surface of the walls. (Architectural constructions. Kazbek-Kiznev Z.A. et al. 1989, p. 58).
 The disadvantage of this design is the low reliability of the protection of the edge of the roof in the upper part of the wall from operational influences. Due to the sharp pressure drop on the outer edge of the roof, a swirl of the air flow occurs, which leads to intense snow deposition in the form of a “tongue” in contact with the wall. When the snow blows melt, the upper part of the wall is soaked and the frosty weathering of the outer layer is intense. As the thickness of the snow blow increases, it collapses, the outer edge of the overhang of the roof breaks and the broadened upper part of the wall deforms. With manual cleavage of icicles formed on the eaves overhang, the hard outer edge is destroyed. Ice growths, the freezing of gutters, funnels, pipes prevents drainage from the eaves.
 Also known is the design of a polymer drainage channel to avoid clogging of the cross section with leaves and debris. (U.S. Patent 4,858,396, IPC: E 04 D 13/04, 1990).
 The disadvantage of this design is the freezing of the cross section in winter conditions, which leads to transfusion of water through the eaves overhang and soaking the upper part of the wall.
 Closest to the invention, the technical solution is a device for removing snow and ice from an eaves overhang of a roof, comprising an element closed in cross section fixed to the outer edge of the roof. (Patent of the Russian Federation 2044851, IPC: E 04 D 13/076, 1955, prototype).
 A common feature of the prototype and the proposed device is the presence of a closed in cross section element. However, the known solution does not exclude the possibility of snow deposition on the outer edge of the roof and the formation of a snowy "tongue" on the upper part of the wall. In the spring, during thawing of the accumulated layer of snow, it collapses with deformation and destruction of the cornice assembly.
 The objective of the invention is to reduce the magnitude and self-dumping of snow pops, thereby reducing operating costs for cleaning snow and ice.
 The technical result of this invention is to increase efficiency, simplify the design of the device, eliminate the danger when removing snow and ice from the eaves of the roof, and prevent the formation of snow blowing and icicles.
 The technical result is achieved by the fact that in the device for removing snow and ice from the eaves of the roof, containing an element closed in cross section fixed to the outer edge of the roof, said element is made in the form of a sheet of soft metal with a heater located on it, covered with an insulating layer, the heater is equipped with down conductors for connection to a power source. The heater is made of amorphous metal in the form of a laminated tape or in the form of parallel laminated tapes.
 The invention is illustrated in FIG. 1, 2, 3,4.
 Figure 1 schematically in plan (top view) shows a sheet of soft metal 1, on which there are heaters in the form of tape 2, the heaters are equipped with down conductors 3.
 In FIG. 2 schematically shows, on an enlarged scale, a cross-sectional view of a device for removing snow and ice from an eaves overhang of a roof, where 1 is a sheet of soft metal, 2 is a section of an amorphous metal heater ribbon, 4 is a heater insulation, in a particular case, a laminant.
 Figure 3 schematically on an enlarged scale shows a cross-section of a device mounted on the outer edge of the overhang of the roof with a gutter, where 1 is a sheet of soft metal, 2 is a heater in the form of a tape of amorphous metal, 3 is insulation (laminant), 5 is an eaves overhang .
 Figure 4 presents a cross section of a device with a direct overhang of the roof.
 The device operates as follows. During snowfall and / or at low temperatures, current is passed through the down conductors 3 from the power source (it is advisable to use a voltage of 36 V) through the heaters 2 made in the form of a tape of amorphous metal. The tapes heat up, transfer heat to the sheet of soft metal 1. The snow cover melts both through the gutter (figure 3) or along the overhang of the roof (figure 4) in the form of drops on the ground. Blowing or icicles are not formed. In this case, the sheet of soft metal can be made of steel, aluminum or burnt copper. There may be other metals, the main sign or characteristic of which should be softness and preservation of the shape given to them. Technological holes (not shown) are provided for fastening the element, into which, when the elements are installed on the roof overhang, rivets or bolts are inserted, the element is rolled up to 1 m wide and up to 10 m long.
 The heater 2 is an amorphous metal tape sealed on both sides with a polymer film (insulation 4). The design uses a heating element with a thickness of 30 ± 3 μm, a width of 10 to 45 mm.

  1.  A device for removing snow and ice from the eaves of the roof containing an element closed in cross section fixed to the outer edge of the roof, characterized in that said element is made in the form of a sheet of soft metal with a heater located on it, covered with an insulating layer, the heater is made of amorphous metal in the form of parallel laminated tapes.
