Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine, in particular to a laboratory study of urine.
420-446/. A known method for predicting urolithiasis, based on the identification of stone formation by detecting salt crystals in freshly released urine or shortly after urination / B.E. Predtechensky. Guidelines for clinical laboratory research, M. Medicine, 1964, p. 420-446 /.
There is also known a method for predicting urolithiasis, based on the determination of the crystal-forming activity of urine / A.C. N 1629846 SU / by mixing solutions of salts of calcium chloride and sodium oxalate and urine, exposure of the mixture and counting the crystals formed.
Closest to the claimed invention / prototype / in essence is the author’s method for predicting urolithiasis, based on crystallization of urine, in which a drop of a mixture of 10% albumin and urine in a ratio of 1: 4 is dried during the day and urolithiasis is predicted with complete crystallization of the drop. However, in the method there are no techniques that would allow us to assess the degree of saturation of urine with salt crystals, which would allow us to judge their aggressiveness. And this, in turn, does not allow to judge the activity of the process of stone formation in the patient / application for invention N 4873890/14 / 101527 / from 11.10.90, with a positive decision /.
The activity of the process of stone formation is directly related to the degree of crystallization of urine, therefore, the task to be solved by the claimed invention is aimed at determining the crystallization rate of salts of the protein zone. Thus, the essence of the invention lies in the fact that in a new method for predicting urolithiasis, based on the crystallization of a drop of urine, the intensity of crystallization of urine in the protein zone is determined. This is achieved by the fact that albumin in the urine is titrated in a ratio of 1: 5, 1: 7, 1: 9. When drying a droplet of a mixture, the result on the intensity of crystallization of urine salts in the protein zone is taken into account: single crystals indicate a weak activity of the stone formation process, the presence of conglomerates of salts in moderate activity, and complete crystallization of the salts of a drop of urine in a pronounced activity of stone formation.
The conclusion that the crystallization rate of the protein zone may indicate the activity of the stone formation process is provided by the following clinical and laboratory data: a 100% correlation between laboratory and clinical and radiological data indicating the formation of stones is revealed. In one group of stone-excreting patients with complete crystallization of the salts of the protein zone, stone formation was observed after 2-3 months; in another with incomplete crystallization of salts of the protein zone (in the form of conglomerates) after 7-8 months, respectively; in the third with a single formation of salt crystals in the protein zone after 2-2.5 years, respectively (see the act of clinical trials).
The correlation of the above crystallization and stone formation processes observed in the group of stone-excreting patients also occurs in healthy individuals who are only predicted to have urolithiasis in accordance with the prototype (see the act of clinical trials). Thus, the proposed new method allows to make a conclusion about the intensity of the process of stone formation and its timing.
The schematic diagram shows an image of the intensity of crystallization of salts in the protein zone of a urine drop: a) lack of crystallization; b) single crystals; c) conglomerates of crystals; d) complete crystallization of the droplet.
