Способ работы поршневых двигателей внутреннего сгорания путем сжатия топливно-воздушной смеси, с воспламенением от электрической искры, или раздельного сжатия воздуха и топлива, с воспламенением от сжатия, и создания условий для превращения химической энергии горения топлива в тепловую с последующим преобразованием ее в механическую в цилиндрической камере сгорания, причем объем топливно-воздушной смеси и (или) воздуха в камере сгорания регулируется за счет изменения количества отработанных газов, оставшихся в камере сгорания.1.
