- combined and milling and sawing (cutting) simultaneously in one pass of the workpiece.

The machine consists of a bed, a cutting mechanism, a feed mechanism, a control mechanism and a control panel. The cutting mechanism includes an electric motor, on the shaft of which a pulley is mounted, connected by means of a V-belt drive with another pulley, mounted on the cutting shaft 1 - a spindle with a spiral arrangement of cutting elements 2 made of separate segments 3. The feed mechanism includes a supply corrugated shaft made of separate spring-loaded sections mounted on a common spindle. Two rear receiving metal smooth rollers located after the cutting shaft 1 are made of separate sections symmetrically similar to the sections of the cutting elements 2 mounted on the spindles. Symmetrically to saws 4, metal disk proppant knives are planted between sections on the spindles of the metal feed rollers. The lifting table of the control mechanism is equipped with a pad of solid wood, textolite, duralumin for fixing the passage of the teeth of the saw and wedged metal circular knives.

Thicknessing machine operates as follows.
Set the thickness of the treatment and include the cutting shaft 1 and the feed mechanism. If only sections with cutting elements 3 are mounted on the cutting spindle and only smooth sections on the receiving spindles, the machine performs calibration functions.
In the case of installation on the cutting spindle between the cutting sections of the circular saws 4 and on the receiving spindles between the smooth sections of the circular saws, the machine performs two functions: it calibrates by thickness and dissolves (cuts) the part into strips.
In the case of installing smooth sections on all three spindles (cutting and two receiving) and installing between them on the cutting spindle saws, and on the receiving spindles of proppant circular knives, the machine performs the function of a multi-saw cutting machine, that is, spreads a wide workpiece into narrow strips.
Thus, the proposed solution allows you to expand the operational capabilities of the machine.
