Abstract

The subject of the application is a biomaterial based on the natural polysaccharide -β-1,3-glucan (curdlan) and hydroxyapatite ceramics (HAp), which is characterized by the fact that it contains a protein component - whey protein isolate (WPI) in the amount of 20 - 50% (in / v), preferably 35% (w / v), and the remaining ingredients such as β-1,3-glucan (curdlan) and hydroxyapatite ceramics (HAp) are present in the following amounts: natural polysaccharide -β-1,3-glucan (curdlan) in an amount of 6-20% (w / v), preferably 8% (w / v), and a hydroxyapatite ceramic (HAp) in an amount of 10 to 180 g based on 100 ml of aqueous solution. The application also covers a method for the production of a biomaterial based on natural polysaccharide -β-1,3-glucan (curdlan) and hydroxyapatite ceramics (HAp), characterized in that a 20 - 50% (w / v) solution of whey protein isolate (WPI), preferably 35 % (w / v), is prepared in distilled water and added to the β-1,3-glucan (curdlan) powder so that the concentration of curdlan relative to 100 ml of WPI solution is 6 - 20% (w / v), preferably 8 % (w / v), then hydroxyapatite ceramics (HAp) in the form of nanopowder, powder or granules with a size of 0.1 - 1.0 mm, fired at a temperature of 500 - 1300 ° C, in the amount of 10 - 180 are added to this mixture. g, the biomaterial thus obtained is incubated for 1 to 60 minutes, preferably 15 minutes at a temperature of 90-120 ° C, preferably 90 ° C, and then sterilized.
