Abstract
The present invention provides a human body detection sensor that has reduced detection error and improved detection performance. The human body detection sensor (1) that detects a detection target by causing an imaging part (26) to receive reflection light generated in response to light projected by a light emitting part (25), the human body detection sensor (1) comprising a centroid identification means (322) that identifies a position of a centroid of the reflection light within a light-receiving region, a first determination means (323A) that determines whether the position of the centroid falls within a detection region, a second determination means (323B) that determines the appropriateness of a degree of light reception by a centroid pixel according to a result of a threshold value process relating to a pixel value of a centroid pixel, and a detection output means (324) that, if both of the first and second determination means (323A, 323B) make an affirmative determination, outputs a detection signal indicative of detection of the detection target.
