Abstract

Disclosed is a system for providing information to one or more devices in a building automation system. The system includes an information centre (110) that has a subscriber database. The subscriber database has a plurality of subscribers and each subscriber has an associated message delivery address and received message characteristics. One or more servers (112) receive information from one or more sources and extract portions (124, 126) of the received information to send the portions (124, 126) to a message delivery addresses in the subscriber database. The portions (124, 126) sent to a message delivery address are based on the received message characteristics of the subscriber associated with the message delivery address. A building automation system includes a plurality of devices, wherein the message delivery address corresponds to a device in the building automation system, and one or more devices act upon the received one or more portions (124, 126) of information.
