Abstract

Anti-flea and anti-tick collar or other external device for a cat or dog, capable of distributing an active agent against fleas and ticks over the body of the cat or dog, in the sebum and in the sebaceous glands of the cat or dog, where the collar is made of a matrix comprising: a) 0.1-40% by weight preferably 1-15% by weight of 1-[2,6-Cl2 4-CF3 phenyl]3-CN 4-SO-CF3]5-NH2 pyrazole also known as 1, 5-amino-3-cyano-1-(2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl)-4-trifluoromethylthiopyrazole which has the following formula 1 where R4 is 2,6 dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl. This collar has more than 6 months of efficacy against fleas and more than 3 months against ticks.
