The spike along with the sleeve is then inserted through the sealing element. Then the spike is pulled out of the sleeve while the sleeve is left in the sealing element. In this way, the sleeve can be inserted into the sealing element along a predetermined path, while avoiding any cutting or cutting of particles from the sealing element.
