Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for å redusere tiden som er nødvendig for å utføre geofysisk inversjon ved bruk av simultant kodede kilder i simuleringstrinnene av inversjonsprosessen. De geofysiske undersøkelsesdata blir forberedt ved koding (3) av en gruppe kildesamlinger (1), og benytte for hver samling en forskjellig kodingssignatur valgt fra et sett (2) av ikke ekvivalente kodingssignaturer. Deretter blir de kodede samlinger summert (4) ved å summere alle traser korresponderende til den samme mottaker fra hver samling, resulterende i en simultant kodet samling. (Alternativt blir de geofysiske data innsamlet fra simultant kodede kilder.) Simuleringstrinnene nødvendig for inversjon blir deretter beregnet ved bruk av en bestemt antatt modell (5) over hastighet (eller annen fysisk egenskap) og simultant aktiverte kodede kilder som bruker det samme kodingsmotbelegg benyttet på de målte data. Resultatet er en oppdatert modell over fysiske egenskaper (6) som kan oppdateres ytterligere (7) ved ytterligere iterasjoner.
