Abstract

En fremgangsmåte for kondensering av en hydrokarbonrik strøm, særlig en jordgasstrøm, hvor kondenseringen av den hydrokarbonrike strømmen skjer mot en kuldemiddelblandingskretsløpskaskade som består av tre kuldemiddelblandingskretsløp, hvor det første av de tre kuldemiddelblandingskretsløpene tjener til forkjølingen, det andre kuldemiddelblandingskretsløpet til kondenseringen og det tredje kuldemiddelblandingskretsløpet til underkjølingen av den kondenserte hydrokarbonrike strømmen. Ifølge oppfinnelsen skjer fortettingen av kuldemiddelblandingen (2c) i det tredje kuldemiddelblandingskretsløpet ved hjelp av to fortettere (V2, V2) koplet etter hverandre og med i det vesentlig samme effekt, og fortettingen av kuldemiddelblandingen (3c, 3e, 4c, 4e) i det første og det andre kuldemiddelblandingskretsløpet skjer i hvert ved hjelp av en fortetter (V4, V3) med i det vesentlige samme effekt som fortetterne (V2, V2) i det tredje kuldemiddelblandingskretsløpet. Her blir fortetterne (V4, V3) i det første og andre kuldemiddelblandingskretsløpet og fortetterne (V2, V2) i det tredje kuldemiddelblandingskretsløpet fortrinnsvis drevet ved hjelp av to drivverk som er i det vesentlige identiske og/eller har samme effekt.
