Abstract
Description
This invention relates to a machine for the extrusion pressing of oblong or elongated objects of concrete material and with continuous cavities, of the kind that comprises a mold, one or more rotatable screw conveyors as well as one or more non-rotatable core elements arranged in the mold which are arranged in immediate continuation of the downstream part of the screw conveyors (in relation to the flow direction of the concrete material). for the formation of a continuous cavity in the object being manufactured, where each core element or core elements comprise several interconnected core segments, optionally with intermediate vibration dampers, which machine is arranged to move as a result of the reaction force from the pre-formed concrete in the opposite direction to the direction of manufacture.
Ved ekstruderingen av betong gjennom en form benyttes When extruding concrete through a form is used
Maskinen produserer betongemner med hulrom med sirkulært tverrsnitt. usually a screw conveyor to push the concrete forward through the form. US Patent No. 3,159,898 shows a machine equipped with multiple screw conveyors. Each screw conveyor is equipped at its downstream end with a core which rotates together with the screw conveyor. A vibrator is mounted on the machine. The machine produces concrete blanks with cavities of circular cross-section.
Canadian Patent No. 910,030 describes an extrusion machine which is equipped with a forming element which can have any cross-sectional shape. The forming element is mounted so that it can be stationary or can be rotated at a speed different from the speed of the conveyor or it can be rotated at the same speed as the conveyor. The screw conveyor and the forming element are operated independently of each other.
Kanadisk patentskrift nr. 1 031 934, viser en maskin for ekstrudering av avlange gjenstander av betong med flere skruetransportører for å presse betongen gjennom en form som har kjerner med forskjellig størrelse. Ifølge dette patentskrift roterer ikke formingselementet; Canadian Patent No. 1,031,934 discloses a machine for extruding oblong articles of concrete with multiple screw conveyors to force the concrete through a mold having cores of different sizes. According to this patent document, the forming element does not rotate;
Canadian Patent No. 1 100 297 shows a similar extrusion machine but which allows the introduction of reinforcement into the shaped product. German publication DE-OS-2 059 760 mentions a machine for the extrusion pressing of oblong or elongated objects of concrete material and with continuous cavities and of the kind mentioned at the outset.
Både den sistnevnte og de andre kjente maskiner må The machine has proven to be useful, but especially at the moment it is important to look for ways where a minimal volume of concrete is used to produce an object with sufficient strength. Both the latter and the other known machines must
Vesentlige problemer har imdlertid oppstått i forsøkene på å produsere slike legemer. are said to be inadequate because their construction does not allow the production of concrete elements where the core is larger than a certain proportion of the cross-sectional area. In and of itself, it is possible to achieve fully acceptable strength with a relatively large core cross-section on an object, but the machines available do not allow the production of such objects. It would e.g. be desirable in certain contexts to produce elongated bodies where cavities are relatively high, but where the outer walls provide sufficient material to meet the structural requirements. Significant problems have meanwhile arisen in the attempts to produce such bodies.
The purpose of the invention is to provide a machine of the kind mentioned at the outset which can produce hollow concrete bodies with an optimal cross-section, i.e. that a body with the desired strength can be produced with a maximum cavity cross-section and a minimal volume of concrete. This purpose is achieved by the interior of the mold and the core element having an axisymmetric cross-section, the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the core element extending at a greater distance from the bottom of the mold than the axis of rotation of the screw conveyor, and that an inclined surface extends from the downstream end of the screw conveyor upwards in the downstream direction to the top surface of the core element. The length of the inclined surface should not exceed 25% of the length of the core element.
Formingselemtnet bør være fri for vesentlige skråplan ved The forming element should be free of significant inclined planes
Skråflatens lengde bør ikke overstige 25% av kjerneelementets lengde. its front bottom edge and sides. However, it must be stated that a slanted edge can be permitted if this is short. The length of the inclined surface should not exceed 25% of the length of the core element.
Det er ønskelig med et flertall formingselementer, It is desirable to have a plurality of shaping elements,
Det er derfor plassert en dempningsanordning mellom hvert formingselement. similar to machines according to the above-mentioned state of the art. The first forming element is equipped with a vibrator, while the subsequent elements are not to be vibrated. A damping device is therefore placed between each forming element.
Oppfinnelsen vil nå beskrives nærmere ved hjelp av et eksempel, The invention will now be described in more detail by means of an example,

Fig. 1 shows an extrusion machine 10, schematically showing a block 12 extruded from the machine on a foundation and a track 14. The machine is equipped with a funnel-shaped infeed cassette 16 through which concrete is fed to the machine 10 and an electric motor 18 which turn the screw conveyors 20 and 22. These are shown in detail in fig. 2 and 3. The machine 10 is equipped with wheels 24 which allow it to be moved along the upper surface of the track 14.
Fig. 2 viser mer detaljert maskinen 10. Fig. 2 shows in more detail the machine 10. Rotatable spiral conveyors 20 and 22 which extend in the longitudinal direction of a form 26. Concrete is fed through the infeed box 16 and the machine moves forward as the conveyors press concrete against the already cast concrete part. An internal recess is formed in the extruded element. According to the design example shown, the internal recess has a depth defined by its position during manufacture, greater than its width, although this in itself is not an absolute requirement. The invention provides elements with a relatively large core compared to. solutions produced by the state of the art.
The core can be made large by increasing the height or width of the recess to a degree that is not possible to achieve with solutions according to the state of the art * According to the present invention, this is achieved by using forming elements 28, 30 and 32
2 og 4 strekker seg oppover fra den- nedstrøms endepå transportørene 20 og 22 som er beliggende Inntil enden på transportøren, inne i formen 26. each of which has its lower edge in line with the lower edge of the conveyor, as particularly shown in fig. 2. However, it must be stated that the same result can be achieved if the lower edge of the forming element is below the lower edge of the conveyor, provided that no more than 10% of the total height of the forming element is below the lower edge of the conveyor. The center line A of the elements in the longitudinal direction is higher than the center line B of the conveyor, as particularly shown in fig..4, at the same time that an inclined plane 34 as shown in fig. 2 and 4 extend upwards from the downstream end of the conveyors 20 and 22 which are situated to the end of the conveyor, inside the mold 26.
The machine has an intrinsically conventional main frame 36 consisting of the side element 38 and transverse elements 40. A mounting frame 42 is mounted on the side elements 38, which extend across the machine. This mounting frame 42 can be adjusted up and down using bolts 44. The main frame 36 is equipped with wheels 24 which can roll on rails 14. It is also necessary to prevent the downstream end of the machine from rising up during the casting operation. The wheels 46 are therefore in engagement with the underside of the sides 38 as shown in fig. 2 to prevent a possible lifting of the machine. Weights placed on the downstream end of the machine can be used instead. In the figures, two spiral conveyors 20 and 22 are shown, although it will be obvious to an average person skilled in the art that a number of variations in the number of conveyors are possible. Each conveyor is mounted with one end in suitable bearings 48 installed on the mounting frame 42. Each conveyor is equipped with a bucket or tongs 50 attached to or forming an integral unit with a . hollow shaft 52. As particularly shown in fig. 4, the hollow shaft 52 has a straight part which extends along part of the conveyor as well as a part which has an increasing cross-section outwards towards the downstream end of the conveyor. However, it should be stated that the shaft can have a constant cross-section.
The conveyor 20 rotates in the bearing 48, the rotation being provided by a chain and e-t gear arrangement 54 which is driven by an electric motor 18 mounted on the frame 42. The second conveyor 22 can be driven by a separate electric motor or, if desired, it can be driven by the same electric motor 18 via gear transmissions 56 and a chain and gear arrangement 58 to thereby ensure that the two conveyors 20 and 22 rotate in opposite directions.
The forming elements 28, 30 and 32 are each mounted on a shaft 60 which extends through the hollow shaft 52. The first forming element 28 with the inclined surface 34 is attached to the end of the inner shaft. The remaining elements 30 and 32 are attached to the first element 28 with an inclined surface by means of bolts 62, as well as intermediate damping elements 64. This is because the first element 28 is equipped with a vibrator 66 which is driven by an electric motor 68 through the internal shaft 70 The vibrator, which consists of a single eccentric, will not be described in further detail here as such a solution is well known. It should also be noted that a further vibrator 72 can be placed on top of the machine as shown in fig. 2. Nor will the design of this vibrator 72 be described, as this is of any known type.
The width of the body 12 to be produced can be changed in a known manner by means of the plates 74 mounted on opposite sides
The side plates 74 are adjustably mounted on the frame parts 38 by means of bolts 76. Furthermore, the depth of the mold 26 can be varied by an upper plate 78 placed on top of the forming section, which plate is adjustably attached in a known manner by means of of bolts 80.
As previously indicated, the position of the forming elements in the mold can be controlled by means of bolts 44.
In operation, concrete is fed through the feed hopper 16 to the spiral conveyors 20 and 22. Concrete is pressed over and around the forming elements 28, 30 and 32 in the mold 26 by means of screw conveyors. The machine is moved forward by the reaction force from the still moldable concrete against the shaped surfaces within the mold element, the machine being moved on the wheels 24 and delivering the shaped elements 12 as shown in fig. 1. Because of the concrete that is used, the product hardens extremely quickly and is in reality self-supporting already when it is formed. The vibrator 66 in the first forming element 28 ensures that concrete flows evenly around the forming elements.
A particularly prominent feature of the present invention is that the manufactured components have relatively large cores. For example, components can be produced where the core has a significant depth compared to the depth of the component. This is made possible by having the center line B for the screws lower than the center line A for the form, further by using the inclined surface 34 on top of the first forming element 28 and by the absence of significant inclined surfaces on the underside of the forming element. It is also desirable that there are no inclined surfaces on the lower corners or sides of the forming element below the longitudinal axis of the screw as shown in fig. 4. It must, however, be stated that a small inclined surface can be permitted provided that this does not have a great length or depth and that it does not exceed gives 25% of the length of the forming element.
