Abstract

In the data transmission system, measured values are conveyed over a short distance. It consists of an IR radiation source acting as a transmitter. The IR beam is modulated by the data. There is a receiver which processes the signals received. The receiver (5) is fitted with elements which can distinguish between radiation from the transmitter and the interference originating from other sources. The receiver has two sensitive components, one of which is tuned to the frequency of the transmitter and the other is tuned at a different frequency. The processing of the data received by the first element is suppressed when the other element is receiving.
