Abstract

The packaging consists of a sheet (1) wrapped around the object to be packed, the edge portions (2 and 4) of the sheet being secured together, and a tear-open element (6) being secured to the sheet of which at least one end extends to a point adjacent to the edge portions (2) which are secured together. The edge portion project outside the wrapped object and the tear strip (6) is secured to the sheet in a region adjacent to one lateral side (2) of there portions. The edge portions (2) may have a cut or notch (8) at a point to the side of the tear strip away from this region.
