Abstract
The jib comprises a base and a middle section and a hand-operated end section and a double-acting ram hinging at one end at the inner end of the base section. The other end of the ram is coupled to the middle section so as to extend and retract it in relation to the base section. There is a first connection on the hand-operated end section at the outer end, and an extension bar fits between this and a second connection on the outer end of the base section after the middle section has been extended from the base section. This extends the end section from the middle one whenever the latter is retracted into the base section.
