Abstract

The cooler is a flexible tube, pref. plastic, which has a number of solid reservoirs attached to its outer surface. These are gel systems contained in plastic outers which are basically cylindrical and which are connected to the tube at each end. A cooling medium is passed through the tube which may be wound on the outside of a container and the gels maintain the required temp. over long periods. They may be recharged by passing freshing cooling medium through the tube. The cooler is suitable for cooling transport containers.
