MOUNTING AND PRESENTATION SYSTEM FOR MONITORS WITH MEDIA PLAYERS

The present invention relates to a mounting system for, for example, monitors, comprising a post which is provided with first mounting members and connected to the monitor with the first corresponding second mounting members.

Such a fastening system for components, such as, for example, monitors or screens, is known from EP 1,331,430. The known system is a system 15 to be suspended from a ceiling or to be placed on a substrate, comprising a pipe hanger on which a carrier made up of two coupled housing parts is arranged which is provided with first hook-shaped adjustable mounting members, to which second mounting members connected to the monitor can be crocheted.

A drawback of the known system is that it offers limited adjustment possibilities and that the amount of components required and the complex construction thereof necessitate a relatively large number of operations to be performed during installation. In this context, consideration should be given, during mounting of the monitors to a desired height, to drill respective holes in the pipe hanger at the relevant locations in which the monitors are definitively secured.

The object of the present invention is to provide a simplified adaptable to the desired height, universally applicable, mounting and presentation system for the aforementioned components, in particular monitors which are provided with media players and with power supplies integrated in the system 2 .

To that end, the fastening system according to the invention is characterized in that the first and second fastening members are designed as hooks with corresponding openings.

The advantage of the fastening system according to the invention is that it does not have a support made up of several parts and parts, mounted on the upright. This is because the hooks or openings of the first or second fastening members are arranged directly in the upright itself and not on a support which then has to be attached to the upright at a desired height with difficulty. As a result, the system according to the invention is not only easier to manufacture and at a lower cost price, but also easier to assemble, install, adjust, raise and disassemble. Furthermore, audio-visual or 20 media players and the power supply, c.q.

supply units thereof can be easily integrated into the system according to the invention.

Nevertheless, the system according to the invention has remained universal and can be used as a hanging or standing system. Moreover, one or more monitors on the same upright can be coupled to each other at desired heights by means of the interlocking mounting members on upright and monitor (s).

In addition, if desired, various variants can be realized, since without functional objections respective hooks and eyes, but also eyes and hooks can be mounted on the stand and monitor or vice versa as desired.

Further advantageous embodiments of the mounting and presentation system according to the invention which are included in the further dependent claims, together with the accompanying advantages, will be explained in the following description with reference to the figures below. Corresponding components are provided with the same reference numerals herein.

Figure 1 shows a first exemplary embodiment of a mounting and presentation system according to the invention, wherein several monitors are mounted on its stand;

Figure 6 shows a U-shaped connecting profile for attaching thereto the monitor, which is provided with legs falling around the circumference of the upright, between which there is a hook for hanging in the opening of Figure 5.

Figures 1 and 2 respectively show a confirmation and presentation system 1, for several monitors 2 and a single monitor 2, respectively, such as that can be arranged in a room, showroom or a shop window of a store. All kinds of information or (film) images can be displayed on the monitors. The system 1 can be equipped with an integrated media player for the reproduction of images and sound, apart from an electrical - 4 - power supply.

The system 1 comprises a post 3 which, if desired, whether or not with a foot 4, can be attached to a ceiling or whose foot 4 can be placed on a surface, such as a floor or the desk. The system 1 further comprises first fastening members 5 connected to the upright 3, namely one or more hooks or openings, and in a manner to be explained further connected to the monitor 10 2, second fastening members 6 corresponding to the first members 5, in the form of one or more openings or hooks. Of the two mutually mechanically reversible variants with hooks and with corresponding openings, Figure 4 shows the variant in which the monitor 2 is connected to hooks 5, and the upright 3 is provided with corresponding openings 6.

Among other things, it can be seen in figure 4 and its detail that the first fastening members are slot-shaped openings 6 and the second fastening members are hooks 5 to be hung therein. Both the hooks 5 and the apertures 6 can simply be manufactured by machine from strip or sheet material, whereafter the substantially form-free protrusions or hooks 5 are turned downwards. This creates a connection that is in principle easy to remove manually from the upright 3.

Figures 3, 4 and 6 show that a U-shaped connection profile 7 is arranged on the monitor 2. Mounted on this are the second fastening members, here embodied as hooks 5, which clamp in the openings 6 without play and releasably detachable. If desired, for carrying a greater weight, several hooks 5 falling simultaneously into one or more openings 6 can be provided.

Figure 4 shows a partial cross-section perpendicular to the axis of the post 3 of the system 1, on the basis of which it is also clear that the first fixing members, here the openings 6, are entirely within the outer circumference of the post 3 integrated. As a result, no protrusions protrude beyond the circumference of the upright 3, and furthermore the connection with the outer surface 5 of the upright 3 of the inner contour of the ends of legs 8 of the U-shaped connecting profile 7 is adapted to the circumference shape of upright 3 Figure 6).

Figures 4 and 5 show a strip 9 in which the openings 6 are lasered, which strip 9 is arranged in the cross-shaped cavity 10 (see figure 3) of the profile of the upright 3. A cross bar 11 prevents the strip 9 from falling forward from the cavity 10.

The mechanical connection of the monitor 2 to the upright 3, in particular described above, is separate from its electrical connection. Outside the upright 3 there is a power supply monitor 12. Within the circumference of the upright 3, with respect to the center line of the upright 3, the openings 6, a longitudinal slot 20, in which a power rail 13 of the power supply is located here 12 has been moved. On both sides of the supply rail 13 lie two cable ducts covered with a flexible material and having a slightly triangular cross-section in Figure 3. Only the left-hand side of reference numeral K is provided with this, for power supply and data cables which are concealed therein, safely and not visible from the outside or directly accessible. If desired, the system 1 may comprise electronic means for wirelessly sending image and / or control information from outside the system 1 to the monitor 2.

Figure 2 furthermore shows that the system has a support arm 14 which grips around the upright 3 per monitor 2. The support arm 14, which preferably encloses the upright 3, gives extra strength and solidity to the way in which the monitor 2 is connected to the upright 3. This - 6 - also prevents the monitor 2 from accidentally coming off the stand or sliding along it. After all, in order to uncouple the first and second fixing members 5, 6, the U-shaped connecting profile 7 has to be moved away from the carrier 3, which is prevented by the carrying arm 14 which grips around the carrier (see also figure 3).

If the upright 2 has a polygonal, polygonal or preferably simply elliptical profile cross-section, the monitor 2 cannot be rotated around the upright 3.

The described system is universal and, notwithstanding the aforementioned advantages, can be implemented as a hanging system or as a standing system. The system 1 can, if desired, be screwed down or be detached, in which case the foot 4 will not be anchored, but will be weighted.

The media player is shown in Fig. 6 as a printed circuit board 15, and furthermore the rear side of both a number of associated connectors 16-1 for signal input and output, as well as video and internet connectors 16-2 is shown.

Claims (14)

A mounting system for, for example, monitors, comprising: 5. a post that is provided with first mounting members; and - connected to the monitor and to the first corresponding second mounting members; characterized in that the first and second fastening members 10 are designed as hooks with corresponding openings. 2. System as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the first fixing members are slot-shaped openings and the second fixing members are hooks 15 to be hung therein. A system according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the hooks have downwardly turned protrusions that can be hooked into the correspondingly extending openings. 20 System as claimed in any of the claims 1-3, characterized in that the monitor is provided with a U-shaped connection profile, on which the second mounting members are arranged. 25 A system according to any one of claims 1-4, characterized in that the first fastening members are located entirely within the outer circumference of the upright. 6. System as claimed in any of the claims 1-5, characterized in that the first fastening members are designed as a plurality of mutually spaced mutually spaced downwardly narrowing openings which are on a strip extending substantially parallel to the upright applied. - 8 - 7. System as claimed in any of the claims 1-11, characterized in that the system has at least one support arm which engages around the upright. 13. System as claimed in claim 12, characterized in that the at least one bearing arm closes play arm around the upright. System as claimed in any of the claims 1-13, characterized in that the system is designed as a hanging system or as a standing system, wherein one or more monitors are coupled to the stand. - 9 - A system according to any one of claims 1-14, characterized in that the post has a polygonal, polygonal, or curved, preferably elliptical, profile cross-section.
