Abstract

The system has a receiving device (10) cooperating with a transmitting device, where an output end of the receiving device is connected to a remote control unit (5). The transmitting device includes a button (21) for transmitting a radio signal, and a bearing pushbutton (22). The receiving device operates the remote control unit on reception of the radio signal. Another receiving device is arranged in an enclosure of a door (2). The transmitting device is linked with another transmitting device.

Description

Field of the invention

The present invention relates to a door opening system for opening a first door, wherein the first door is provided with a remotely operable lock opener which is operated via an electrical line by a remote control remote from the first door.

State of the art 10 Many porch houses are equipped with such a door control.

Remote controls are known in many variants, including remote controls for opening and closing doors, such as garage doors.

Summary of the invention The present invention seeks to provide a door opening system which makes it possible to also open exterior doors of porches with a remote control.

According to the present invention, a door opening system of the type defined in the preamble is provided, wherein the door opening system comprises a first receiving device with an output connected to the remote control member, and a first transmitting device cooperating with the first receiving device and provided with a first push button for transmitting a first transmission signal, the first receiving device being adapted to energize the remote control member upon receipt of the first transmission signal. By making use of the existing electrical infrastructure (electrical line and control unit), this system can be realized easily and cost-effectively in many porch houses.

In one embodiment, the first receiving device is placed in the vicinity of the remote control, that is, in the own home. This again makes simple installation possible in a protected environment.

In one embodiment, the first receiving device comprises a timer circuit for energizing the remote control member during a first period of time. This keeps the lock on the porch door open for a while, giving a response time to actually enter the porch.

In a further embodiment the first receiving device is placed in a space closed by a second door (the owner-occupied home), the second door is provided with a second receiving device for operating a second lock opener placed on the second door, and the door opening system comprises furthermore a second transmitting device cooperating with the second receiving device and provided with a second push button for transmitting a second transmitting signal, the second receiving device being adapted to energize the second lock opener upon receipt of the second transmitting signal. This makes it possible not only to open the porch door, but also to open the front door of your own home.

The first and second transmitting device are coupled in a further embodiment, and the second transmitting device is arranged to block the second transmitting signal for a second period of time (for example 30 seconds) after the first transmitting device has transmitted the first transmitting signal. This increases the safety with regard to the successive opening of the porch door and the front door of your own home.

In a further embodiment, the first and second transmitting device are included in one remote control. This increases the ease of use of the door opening system.

Detailed description of exemplary embodiments

Many apartment houses have a porch closed with a door next to their own front door. Although it is often possible to open both the porch door and the front door with the same key, a free hand is still needed to handle the key. The embodiments of the present invention offer a solution for this.

In FIG. 1 is a schematic representation of a first embodiment of the present invention. A first door 1 (the porch door) is provided with a remotely operated lock opener 3. The lock opener 3 is connected via an electrical line 4 to a remote control member 5. Often this control member 5 is designed as a push button as part of a intercom installation placed in the vicinity of a front door of a home (indicated as second door 2). By pressing the operating member 5, the lock of the porch door 1 is unlocked, and the porch door 1 can be opened.

A first embodiment of a door opening system is provided with a remote control 12 with a push button 21. The remote control 12 comprises a first transmitting device 25 (see Fig. 3 below) which after pressing push button 21 transmits a first transmitting signal.

Furthermore, the door opening system comprises a first receiving device 10, which is connected to an interface circuit 11, also referred to as a porch signal converter. The output of the interface circuit 11, for example in the form of two relay contacts, is connected in parallel to the control member 5.

When the first receiving device 10 receives the first transmission signal, the output of the interface circuit 11 is driven to energize the lock opener 3 of the porch door 1 via the electrical line 4. The transmitting range of the first transmitting device 25 in the remote control 12 is sufficient to reach the first receiving device 10 located behind the front door 2 in front of the porch door 1.

With this door opening system it is therefore possible to unlock the lock of the porch door 1 with the aid of a simple to operate push button 21, and to enter the porch. Such a remote control 12 is easier to operate than a key, so that it is even possible to enter with the hands full of the portico.

The interface circuit 11 of the door opening system is adapted to actuate the lock opener 3 during a first period of time, for example two seconds, after receiving the first transmission signal. This gives enough time to open the porch door 1. This can be achieved, for example, by including a timer circuit 14 in the interface circuit 11.

An embodiment of the time circuit 14 is shown as a block diagram in FIG. 4. The timing circuit 14 includes an input IN, and two output terminals OUT connected to a relay switch operated by relay Ryl. The time circuit comprises two logic elements Q1 and Q2 connected as flip-flop. The relay Ryl is energized by a first transistor Tri. The other elements are connected as a voltage divider (resistors R1, R2) as an RC circuit (R3 / C1 and R5 / C2), and a number of other electronic elements known to those skilled in the art.

The door opening system as described above is easy and quick to install. Use can be made of a generally available transmitting and receiving installation, for example operating in the frequency range around 868 MHz, wherein an (electrical) output of the receiving installation is energized by operating the transmitting installation. The interface circuit 11 can then simply be connected to this output and to the operating device 5.

In FIG. 2 shows a schematic representation of a second embodiment, wherein in addition to the first door 1, the second door 2 can also be operated with the remote control 12. The second door 2 is provided with a second receiving device 15, which is coupled to a second lock opener 16. The second lock opener 16 is mechanically connected to the lock of the second door 2 and is arranged to operate the lock of the second door 2. Such a combination of receiving device and lock opener is available commercially, such as the Hometec system from Abus.

The second receiving device 15 is adapted to receive a second transmitting signal from a second transmitting device 26 (see also Fig. 3). This second transmitting device 26 is provided with a second push button 22, and after operating this second push button the second transmitting signal is transmitted. This second transmission signal 30 is received by the second receiving device 15 and in response thereto the second door 2 is opened.

With the door opening system according to this embodiment, it is possible to make the entire road from street to the house with your hands full. On the street, for the porch door 1, first the first push button 21 is used, and via the first transmission signal, first receiver 10, interface circuit 11 and electrical line 4, the porch door 1 is unlocked. One can now enter the porch, and arriving at the front door, the second push button 22 can be used to open the front door 2 of the house via the second receiving device 15.

The second transmitting device 26 can be accommodated in a separate remote control, but it is advantageously included in the remote control 12 in which the first transmitting device 25 is also accommodated. This is shown in the block diagram of FIG. 3. Both the first transmitting device 25 and the second transmitting device 26 are powered by one battery 27. The first transmitting device 25 is connected to the first push button 21 and the second transmitting device 26 is connected to the second push button 22 as described above. The second transmitting device 26 is also connected to a third and fourth push button 23, 24. These can be used to operate further functionalities of the second receiving device 15, such as locking the second door and / or switching on an alarm system (after leaving and closing the property).

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the first and second transmitting devices 25, 26 are also interconnected. This can be used, for example, to couple the first and second transmitting device in such a way that the second transmitting device 26 can only transmit the second transmitting signal after a second period of time has elapsed after the first transmitting device 25 transmits the first transmitting signal. This can be used to prevent abuse of the door opening system (by, for example, a robber).

It will be clear that variants and modifications of the elements as described in the discussed embodiments are possible. The first and second push buttons 21, 22, for example, can also be designed as touch-sensitive switches. These and other equivalents are considered to fall within the scope of this application, as defined in the appended claims.

Claims (6)

  1. A door opening system for opening a first door (1), wherein the first door (1) is provided with a remotely operable lock opener (3) which is operated via an electrical line (4) by a remote control of the first door door (1) located at the door (1), characterized in that the door opening system comprises: - a first receiving device (10) with an output connected to the remote operating device (5), and - a first device (5) 10) cooperating first transmitting device 10 (25) provided with a first push button (21) for transmitting a first transmitting signal, the first receiving device (10) being adapted to energize the remote control member (5) upon receipt of the first transmission signal.
  2. The door opening system of claim 1, wherein the first receiving device (25) is disposed in the vicinity of the remote control member (5).
  3. A door opening system according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the first receiving device (25) comprises a timer circuit for energizing the remote actuator (5) during a first period of time.
  4. Door opening system according to one of claims 1-3, wherein the first receiving device (25) is placed in a space closed by a second door (2), the second door (2) is provided with a second receiving device (15) for Operating a second lock opener (16) placed on the second door (2), and the door opening system further comprising a second transmitting device (26) cooperating with the second receiving device (15) and provided with a second push button (22) for transmitting of a second transmission signal, the second receiving device (15) being adapted to energize the second lock opener (16) upon receipt of the second transmission signal.
  5. The door opening system of claim 4, wherein the first and second transmitting devices (25, 26) are coupled, and the second transmitting device (26) is arranged to transmit the second transmitting signal during a second period of time after the first transmitting device transmits the first transmitting signal ( 25).
  6. 6. Door opening system according to claim 4 or 5, wherein the first and second transmitting device (25, 26) are included in one remote control (12).
