Device for milking animals, such as cooling

The invention relates to a device for milking animals, such as cows, provided with at least one milking parlor with a free space on either side of the milking parlor, in which free spaces are arranged a milking machine and a washing and / or drying machine, which vending machines are arranged pivotally about upwardly directed axes and up and down and, under the control of a computer, are automatically movable from a free space to the milking parlor and can be coupled to the udder of a cow present in the milking parlor and automatically from the udder of the cow detachable and movable from the milking parlor back to the relevant free space.

Such a device is known from European patent application 0.091.892. This known milking device has a number of drawbacks. The milking implement shown in figure 4 consists of milking parlors arranged next to each other, with an intermediate space between the milking parlors in which a milking machine is arranged for each milking parlor, while a washing machine and / or dryer can also be arranged in this space for each milking parlor.

Setting up a milk machine and a washing machine and / or dryer on one side of an animal, both of which must be able to move towards the udder of that animal, has the drawback that space problems occur in the space, while the one machine is always on a more favorable position in relation to the animal can be arranged than the other machine.

The object of the invention is a device for milking animals, such as cows, wherein the above-mentioned drawbacks are minimized.

To this end, the device according to the invention is characterized in that a washing and / or drying machine is arranged in the free space on one side of the milking parlor and in the free space on the other side of the milking parlor a milking vending machine, these vending machines being designed to reach the udder of the cow present in the milking parlor located between these free spaces.

The above measures solve the space problems discussed in the prior art in the space next to a milking parlor, as well as the problem for the location of the vending machines, because both the vending machine positioned to the left of the animal and the vending machine positioned to the right of the animal can be positioned in a favorable position relative to the udder of the animal.

To clarify the invention, an exemplary embodiment of a device for milking animals will be described with reference to the drawing.

Figure 1 is a schematic sectional view of an animal milking device; Figure 2 is a schematic sectional view taken on the line II-II of Figure 1.

Figure 1 shows a device provided with a compartment 1 for the animal 2, which compartment 1 is provided with a door 3 for closing an opening through which the animal 2 can enter the compartment and with a door 4 for closing an opening through which the animal 2 can leave the compartment 1. Both doors 3, 4 are connected to the device in such a way that their position remains substantially the same during opening and closing. For this purpose, a parallel logging construction is provided, which comprises 40 guide rods 5, which are hingedly connected to the frame of the device at point 1 in point 6 and hinged at the other end in point 7 to supports 8 mounted on the door. 1, both doors 3, 4 are shown in the closed position, while the open position is drawn in broken lines. An advantage of using a parallelogram construction to operate doors 3,4 is the limited space required with respect to 45 swing doors. Both doors are operable by means of actuators (not shown), such as hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders, which can be arranged and operated in otherwise known manner. As shown in figure 1, a feeding trough 9 is connected to the door 4, from which the animal 2 can consume concentrate or other feed during its presence in the compartment 1. Because the feeding trough 9 is also removed when the door 4 is opened, the animal will be more inclined to leave compartment 1 at that time.

Above the compartment 1 for the animal 2, three storage containers 10, 11, 12 are shown. Storage container 10 is intended for containing feed, for example concentrates, which can be consumed by the animal during the stay in compartment 1. The storage container 10 is provided with a filling opening 13 and a dosing discharge device 14, which depends on a command signal supplies a certain amount of 55 feed to the feed trough 9. The storage container 10 can be designed such that, as can be seen from Figure 1, the feed can flow to the feed trough without further additional transport means.

Storage container 11 is intended for storing milk, and for this purpose can be provided with means 192 241 2 for cooling the milk present in that storage container. Storage container 12 is intended for the storage of cleaning liquid, for example water, which can serve for cleaning, disinfecting or rinsing the parts that come into contact with the milk, such as milk lines, the milking cluster, the udder, or other parts which are eligible for cleaning or rinsing.

Figure 1 furthermore shows a device 15 which can be coupled to the udder of the animal 2. The device 15 is provided with a bowl-shaped shell 16, which connects slightly around the udder of the cow and which is supported in the middle by by means of a floor-mounted support 17.

Furthermore, a device 18 is provided for transporting the milk to the storage container 11. The device 19 serves for heating air and supplying that heated air to the device 15 which can be coupled to the udder, as will be described later. The cleaning liquid can be pumped from the storage container 12 to the udder connectable device 15 by means of the device 20. The necessary transport lines 21 are shown schematically.

A collar 22 is provided around the neck of the animal, to which means 23 are attached, so that the animal can be recognized. These means 23 can consist of an electronic or magnetic information carrier or a transmitter, which emits a signal specific to the particular animal 2. Furthermore, the device is provided with a computer 24, which controls the various functions of the device. For this purpose, the computei 4 is fitted with various parts of the device, which is indicated in Figure 1 by means of lines.

The device is further provided with a loudspeaker 25 for producing sound or music, 20 in order to transmit desired signals to the animal.

Figure 2 shows schematically three adjacent milking parlors or compartments 1, which are mutually separated by means of intermediate walls 26. Furthermore, guides 27, for instance consisting of rods, are arranged in order to give the animal only limited freedom of movement. Figure 2 shows two types of devices which can be coupled to the udder of the animal, namely a cleaning device 28 and a milking device 29. These devices 28, 29 can be in an inactive position outside the area bounded by the guides 27 in which the animal may be present. When an animal is present in the compartment 1, the device 28 can be placed under the animal from one side, while the device 29 can be brought under the animal from the other side. Both devices are provided with a support with two substantially vertically oriented hinge shafts 30, 31, the support being fixed to the floor at hinge shaft 30, so that the device 28, 29 is pivotable within a certain area. Furthermore, means are provided to move the devices 28, 29 in height direction.

The device 28 is provided with a cup-shaped bowl 16, which connects substantially around the udder of the animal and which is provided with a number of spray nozzles 32 for spraying cleaning liquid 35 against the udder of the animal, and with a central opening 33 for discharging spent cleaning fluid and also supplying air, which may be heated if desired, to dry the udder after cleaning.

The device 29 is provided with a milking cluster 34 connectable to the teats of the udder and with a shielding plate 35.

The previously described storage containers 10, 11 and 12, which are arranged above the compartments 1, can extend over several compartments, while it is optionally also possible to divide one or more storage containers per compartment.

The described device for milking animals can be designed as a movable unit, which can be placed in its entirety at a desired location. The device can optionally be provided with wheels 36 (figure 2) for this purpose, or other means which can be useful in moving. In order to be able to place the device outside, it can be provided with a roof 37 extending over the entire device (figure 1).

The animals roam freely around the automatic milking device. The intention is that all animals appear more or less regularly on a milking parlor of the milking implement in order to be milked. In order to lure the animals to the milking parlor, it is possible to work with sound signals which are generated by means of a loudspeaker 61. Because recognition means are attached to the collar of the cow, for instance a transmitter, which transmits certain signals, sensor means of the milking device will signal the presence of a desired animal, after which door 3 (figure 1) is opened by the computer in order to enter the animal in question. leave it on the milking parlor. It can also be advantageous to let the animal itself decide to be milked, for which purpose the sensor means detect the presence of the animal in question, after which that animal is admitted to the milking parlor. In this way it is possible to increase the milking up to very many times a day according to the animal's own needs, which can be beneficial for milk production. The milking implement can of course also be built into an open stable or any other type of stable.
