Abstract
The invention relates to a method for notifying users by a computer server comprising: receiving input from a first user indicating an identity of a first object in which the first user is interested, the first user being already aware of it existence of the first object; receiving input from a second user indicating an identity of a second object in which the second user is interested, the second user already being aware of the existence of the second object; determining whether the identity of the first object corresponds to an identity of an object possessed by the second user; determining whether the identity of the second object corresponds to an identity of an object possessed by the first user; if an agreement occurs in both determination steps, notifying the first user and the second user that an agreement has occurred; then changing a status of the first object and the second object so that the first object and the second object can no longer be found by another user.
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to a method for notifying users.
STATE OF THE ART
A known method of notifying users by a server is to send an ernail message via the internet. The users are kept informed of a status by the ernail message. However, the known method has just the problem that notification is not efficient, as a result of which the correct status is not given to the users. It is therefore desirable to provide a method that is efficient and can give the correct status.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
According to a first aspect of the invention, there is provided a method for notifying users by a computer server comprising: receiving input from a first user indicating an identity of a first object in which the first user is interested, the first user already is aware of the existence of the first object; having received input from a second user indicating an identity of a second object in which the second user is interested, the second user already being aware of the existence of the second object; determining whether the identity of the first object corresponds to an identity of an object possessed by the second user; determining whether the identity of the second object corresponds to an identity of an object possessed by the first user; if an agreement occurs in both determination steps, notifying the first user and the second user that an agreement has occurred; then a status of the first object and the second object is changed, as a result of which the first object and the second object can no longer be found by another user.
An advantage of this method is that the first object and the second object are no longer displayed in rotation. As a result, these objects cannot be accidentally linked to other users. This way notification to users can become more efficient and the correct status of the availability of the objects can be given. Moreover, this method ensures a more efficient use of the data.
In one embodiment, the method further comprises receiving a type of the object possessed by the first user, and a location of the first user from the first user; receiving a type of the object possessed by the second user, and a location of the second user from the second user;
storing and categorizing the type of objects and the location of both users; wherein the first user is already aware of the existence of the first object comprises: receiving a search query from the first user, the search query comprising a type of an object to be searched in a range relative to the location of the first user within which range a user of the object to be searched is located; determining objects that match the search based on a type of the objects and a location of users of the objects; displaying the objects including the first object to the first user; wherein the second user is already aware of the existence of the second object comprises: receiving a search query from the second user, the search query comprising a type of an object to be searched and a scope relative to the location of the second user within which range a user 20 of the object to be searched is located; it. determining objects that match the search based on a type of the objects and a location of users of the objects; displaying the objects including the second object to the second user.
A feed part of this method is that the linking of the objects to the users can be based on the preferences of the users and the location of the users of the objects.
In a further embodiment, the method further comprises displaying another object from the second user to the first user and / or displaying another object from the first user to the second user.
An advantage of this method is that if there is a match between the users, the other objects of the users are often also of interest to the users. This allows users to find other desired objects faster.
In one embodiment, a method is provided in which aks does not occur in both determination steps, the first user and the second user are not notified.
An advantage of this method is that users only need to receive relevant notifications. This ensures a more efficient use of the data network.
In one embodiment, a method is provided wherein receiving the input from the first user is via the Internet.
An advantage of this method is that the internet can reach many people.
In addition, the invention relates to a device for notifying users, comprising: a first unit adapted to receive input from a first user indicating an identity of a first object in which the first user is interested. wherein the first user is already aware of the existence of the first object; a second unit adapted to receive input from a second user indicating an identity of a second object in which the second user is interested, the second user already being aware of the second object being occupied; a first determining unit adapted to determine whether the identity of the first object corresponds to an identity of an object owned by the second user; a second determination device adapted to determine whether the identity of the second object corresponds to an identity of an object possessed by the first user; a notification unit adapted to notify the first user and the second user that a match has occurred if there is a match in the said determining steps, a processor arranged to change a status of the first object and the second object causing the first object and the second object can no longer be found by another user.
Further exemplary embodiments are defined in the claims.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
Next, exemplary embodiments of the invention will be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying schematic drawings, corresponding parts being indicated by corresponding reference symbols. The drawings are intended for illustrative purposes only, and are not intended to limit the scope of protection defined by the claims.
Figure 1 shows a step diagram.
DESCRIPTION OF UnVOFRINGSVöRMLN
On an online platform according to the invention, a user such as a first artist can view on the basis of a type of an object such as a style and technique of artworks of others. When the artist finds an artwork of a second artist interesting, image can be clicked to view the artwork. If the first artist is interested in an exchange, he can indicate this by clicking on a check mark or rejecting it by clicking on a cross displayed on a first roaring entity 100.
When the second artist finds an artwork by the first artist interesting and indicates this on a second user entity 300, a match is created. After this, the second artist will be placed in a list of matches and contact can be made between the two artists via the website through a chat function. An exchange can occur from this snatch.
When searching for matches, the first artist first decides on which type of artwork you want to search for. In addition, he can search remotely. The distance is calculated based on the specified address. If the first artist wants to search at all distances, then that is also an option. Matching can then begin. The first artist sees the works of others within the specified categories / techniques, for example; painting, sculpture, jewelry, design or painting, drawing, etching etc. and scope. If the first artist finds it interesting, the first artist clicks on the check mark. This data is then stored in a database of a server 200. If the first artist finds it uninteresting, he clicks the cross. This data is also stored on server 200. If the second artist has checked a work by the first artist, a match is created. 30 This is shown, for example, during the search if the second artist has already checked a work by the first artist via a ρορ-υρ. If this happens later, the first artist will receive a notification in his personal environment about matches. Both artists can then come into contact with each other by using the chat function. They can also view other uploaded works from each other, because perhaps there is another work in between that they would rather trade (or sell). The works are no longer displayed in a rotation for other users.
Works that have received a negative assessment will also be displayed for longer at the next geFull. However, users match work, not artist, so other uploads still come to the fore during rotation, and if fat can still be liked, it remains possible to be able to contact co-contact with the artist in question.
Users can remove artworks at any time, for example after trading, and upload new works.
Based on the activity of the users, works are shown during matching. This works in a random manner, but on the basis of recent activity so that fast matches are possible. Users can match unlimited, for example until the end of the database is reached.
It will be appreciated that the embodiments described above are described by way of example only and not in any limiting sense, and that various changes and modifications are possible without departing from the scope of the invention and that the scope is determined solely by the appended claims.
