Abstract
The purpose of this invention is to cool a human body from the inside over a prolonged period of time. This is done by swallowing a cooling unit in order to provide cooling within the gastrointestional tract. The unit consists predominantly of a cooling agent and a protective layer. The protective layer itself allows for comfortable ingestion and disintegration of the protective layer within the gastrointestinal tract causes the cooling power to be released over an extended period of time. his specific invention concerns the internal cooling of a body by swallowing cooling units that can provide internal cooling over a prolonged period of time. The cooling unit consists of a cooling agent (i.e. ice) and a protective layer covering the cooling agent. When the cooling unit is swallowed, there will be little inconvenience of the cold of the cooling agent. The units can provide internal cooling over a prolonged period of time(> 20 minutes) depending on the content of the protective layer.
Description
Title: Cooling unit for Inside human body
Description
The purpose of this invention Is to cool a human body from the inside over a prolonged period of time. This is done by swallowing a cooling unit in order to provide cooling within the gastrointestinal tract. The unit consists predominantly of a cooling agent and a protective layer. The protective layer itself allows for comfortable ingestion and disintegration of the protective layer within the gastrointestinal tract causes the cooling power to be released over an extended period of time.
This specific invention concerns the internal cooling of a body by swallowing cooling units that can provide internal cooling over a prolonged period of time. The cooling unit consists of a cooling agent (i.e. ice) and a protective layer covering the cooling agent. When the cooling unit is swallowed, there will be little inconvenience of the cold of the cooling agent. The units can provide internal cooling over a prolonged period of time (> 20 minutes) depending on the content of the protective layer.
Current state A patent search was done and no patents were found where (human) bodies are actively cooled from the inside over a prolonged period of time. Cooling by swallowing shaved icr has been done before, but this does not result in cooling over a longer period of time and is not patented. Cooling human bodies from the outside has been done before as extensive patent literature search shows.
During exercise in the heat, internal cooling is important for peak performance (Racinais, Alonso et al. 2015). Up to now, internal cooling was only done before the start of sport events whereas during sport events mainly external cooling was applied (Gaudio and Grissom 2016). This invention provides a method that can cool a human body internally during sport activities. Moreover, the release of cooling power can be regulated by the contents of the protective layer and even cooling beyond the stomach is possible.
An example of this cooling unit can be a special pill consisting of gelatin with ice inside. Swallowing multiple units will enlarge the effect and can provide cooling over a prolonged period. While inside the human body, the ice will slowly melt, but because of the slow disintegration of the protective layer this will take. Therefore, the cooling power is released gradually to the human body. The cooling unit can provide cooling to the human body over a period of time exceeding 20 minutes.
Embodiments
This invention is about a cooling unit with protective layer for entering the human body to cool it from the inside. This cooling unit allows convenient entering of the cavities of the human body by shielding the human body from cooling by the protective layer of the unit Also, this unit with protective layer will result in internal cooling of the human body over an prolonged period of time.
