Abstract

The installation (1) involves a column (3) for fitting in the ground by an anchoring device (7) in front of a building to prevent out-of-hours ramming by thieves with a vehicle of the building front. The anchoring device has two energy-absorbing components (9) formed by elastic plastic cables, and a tube (11) beneath the ground (5) in which the column is present, together with an anchoring component (13) beneath the ground, fixed to the tube. The anchoring device has a plate (15) with a horizontal part (17), to which the tube is fixed and a part (19) which runs upwards. At the front, it has stiffening ribs (21), which are fixed to the two parts of the plate and a further plate (23) fitting squarely on the inclinedly upwards orientated part of the plate and fixed to the stiffening ribs.

5 DESCRIPTION:

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to an anti-ram cracking device comprising an anti-ram cracking pole, which may or may not be sunk into the ground and is present during operation partly ground-level and partly from the ground above ground level, as well as an anchoring device for anchoring of the anti-ram cracking pole in the ground.

Anti-ram cracking devices are used among other things in shops, such as jewelers, ATMs and bank buildings to prevent thieves with a vehicle from ramming the facade of a building and thus gaining access to the building. Anti-ram cracking device is known in which the anti-ram cracking pole is fixedly mounted in the ground and also those in which the anti-ram cracking pole can be sunk into the ground, for example to sink into the ground during building opening hours and thus not to form an obstacle to public.

An anti-ram cracking device is to be understood here not only to be the above-mentioned devices, but any device intended for forming an obstacle, such as inter alia blocking a passage in a street.

Such an anti-ram cracking device is generally known. To provide adequate resistance to rams, anti-ram cracking devices must be sufficiently strong. This is achieved with the known anti-ram cracking devices by making the pile sufficiently strong, for example large wall thickness or solid pile, and making the anchoring device sufficiently heavy and sturdy, for example by a poured concrete block in which the anti-ram cracking pile is mounted. Placing the known anti-ram cracking device is labor-intensive. First a large hole has to be dug and 1024973 H filled with concrete, after which the heavy pile is placed in it. The known anti-ram cracking device is moreover heavy and expensive because of the materials used.

Summary of the invention.

An object of the invention is to provide an anti-ram cracking device of the type described in the preamble which is lighter, cheaper and easier to place than the known anti-ram cracking device but still offers sufficient resistance to ramming. To this end, the anti-ram cracking device according to the invention is characterized in that the anchoring device comprises at least one energy-absorbing element, which is connected with one end to the anti-ram cracking pole near and below ground level, and which is attached with the other end to an anchoring element present below ground level. The anchoring element is herein retained by the soil present above it, so that a relatively light anchoring device can suffice. Because the element between the anchoring device and the anti-ram cracking pile absorbs energy when ramming the pile, both the anti-ram cracking pile and the anchoring element are loaded less heavily, so that they can be made lighter than those of the known anti-ram cracking device. The energy-absorbing element extends the braking distance of a ram vehicle when ramming the anti-ram cracking post, so that less energy has to be absorbed by the post and the anchoring element.

The anchoring device preferably comprises a tube which is below ground level and in which the anti-ram cracking post is present. The anchoring element I preferably comprises a plate through which a lot of soil rests on the anchoring element and the anchoring element is thus firmly held in place. The plate is preferably attached to the tube.

In order to increase the strength of the anchoring element, the plate preferably comprises a horizontal part attached to the tube, as well as an obliquely upwardly standing part to which the energy-absorbing element is connected. Furthermore, the anchoring element for this purpose preferably comprises reinforcement ribs, which are attached to the two parts of the plate. Further reinforcement is obtained by an embodiment in which the anchoring element comprises a further plate which is mounted perpendicular to the portion of the plate that is inclined upwards and which is attached to the reinforcement ribs 3, and to which the energy-absorbing element is attached.

The energy-absorbing element is preferably formed by an elongated element of a material with high elasticity, such as for example a spring or a plastic cable.

The invention also relates to an anchoring device usable in an anti-ram cracking device according to the invention.

Brief description of the drawings * The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments of the anti-ram cracking device according to the invention shown in the drawings. Hereby shows:

Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of the anti-ram cracking device according to the invention in section and present in the ground; Figure 2 is a top view of the anti-ram cracking device shown in Figure 1;

Figure 3 shows a second embodiment of the anti-ram cracking device according to the invention in section and present in the ground; and

Figure 4 is a top view of the anti-ram cracking device shown in Figure 3.

Detailed description of the drawings.

In figures 1 and 2, a first embodiment of the anti-ram cracking device according to the invention is shown in section and present in the ground and in top view, respectively. The anti-ram cracking device 1 has an anti-ram cracking pole 3, which is partly present in the ground below ground level 5 and partly from the ground above ground level. The anti-ram cracking device 1 further has an anchoring device 7 with which the anti-ram cracking pole 3 is anchored in the ground. The anchoring device 7 has two energy-absorbing elements 9, which are formed by elastic plastic cables.

The anchoring device 7 has a tube 11 which is below ground level 1024973 and in which the anti-ram cracking pile 3 can be retracted and retracted, and an anchoring element 13 which is also present below ground level 5 and which is attached to the tube 11. The mechanism for sliding the anti-ram cracking pole into and out of the tube is not shown for the sake of clarity. The anchoring element 13 has a plate 15, which has a horizontal part 17, to which the tube 11 is attached, and an obliquely upwardly extending part 19. The anchoring element 13 also has reinforcing ribs 21, which are attached to the two parts 17,19 of the plate 15, and a further plate 23, which is mounted perpendicular to the obliquely upwardly extending part 19 of the plate 15 and to the reinforcement ribs 21.

The energy-absorbing element 9 is attached to this further plate 23 with an end 9a. The energy-absorbing element 9 is attached with its other end 9b to the tube 11 just below ground level 5.

In figures 3 and 4, a second embodiment of the anti-ram cracking device according to the invention is shown in section and present in the ground and in top view, respectively. The elements of this second embodiment that are the same as those of the first embodiment are indicated by the same reference numerals. With this anti-ram cracking device 25, the anti-ram cracking pole 27 is not displaceable in the vertical direction but is fixedly fixed on the plate 15 of the Anchoring element 13; Furthermore, in this case the end of the energy-absorbing element is not coupled to the anti-ram cracking pole via an eye, but the energy-absorbing element 29 is wrapped around the anti-ram cracking pole 27. The energy-absorbing element 29 is thus formed here by a double-stranded cable which is attached to the anchoring element 13 with one end 29a and which is wrapped around the anti-ram cracking pole 27 with the other end 29b just below ground level 5.

Although in the foregoing the invention has been elucidated with reference to the drawings, it must be established that the invention is by no means limited to the embodiments shown in the drawings. The invention also extends to all embodiments deviating from the embodiments shown in the drawings within the scope defined by the claims.

Claims (9)

  1. An anti-ram cracking device comprising an anti-ram cracking pole, which may or may not. is sinkable in the ground and during operation is partly present in the ground below ground level and partly from ground above ground level, as well as an anchoring device for anchoring the anti-ram cracking pole in the ground, characterized in that the anchoring device comprises at least one comprises an energy-absorbing element which is connected at one end to the anti-ram cracking pole near and below ground level and which is attached at the other end to an anchoring element present at ground level.
  2. 2. Anti-ram cracking device according to claim 1, characterized in that the anchoring device comprises a tube which is below ground level and in which the anti-ram cracking pole is present.
  3. Anti-ram cracking device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the anchoring element comprises a plate.
  4. Anti-ram cracking device according to claims 2 and 3, characterized in that the plate is attached to the tube.
  5. Anti-ram cracking device according to claim 3 or 4, characterized in that the plate comprises a horizontal part which is attached to the tube, as well as an obliquely upward-standing part to which the energy-absorbing element is connected.
  6. Anti-ram cracking device according to claim 6, characterized in that the anchoring element comprises reinforcement ribs, which are attached to the two parts of the plate.
  7. 7. Anti-ram cracking device as claimed in claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the anchoring element comprises a further plate which is mounted perpendicular to the obliquely upwardly rising part of the plate and which is attached to the reinforcing ribs, and to which the energy-absorbing element is confirmed.
  8. Anti-ram cracking device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the energy-absorbing element is formed by an elongated element of a material with high elasticity, such as for example a spring or a plastic cable.
