Abstract
Provided are an apparatus for drying an electrode plate and a method of drying the electrode plate. The apparatus includes: a chamber (110) including an entrance (110a) to receive a base foil coated with slurry and an exit (110b) to discharge the base foil; a steam supply unit (120) connected to the chamber (110) to supply superheated steam to inside of the chamber (110) for drying the slurry; a discharge unit (130) connected to the chamber for suctioning and discharging gas from the inside of the chamber (110); an oxygen sensor unit (180) disposed in the chamber (110) for measuring a content of oxygen in the chamber (110); and a control unit (150) controlling an operation of at least one selected from the steam supply unit (120) and the discharge unit (130) according to the content of oxygen measured by the oxygen sensor unit (180).
