Abstract
The present invention discloses a method for detecting Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. elaeidis that relies on novel DNA primers (ORF F1/ORF R1), designed to a virulence factor gene (ORX1) unique to Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. elaeidis; wherein the method comprises a series of steps such as incubation of seed or pollen sample in CZID medium, DNA extraction from the culture using CTAB method, polymerase chain reaction with extracted DNA and novel primers, and gel electrophoresis for the visualization of polymerase chain reaction products .
