Abstract
A method of manufacturing an electrically tin-plated steel sheet (I), the method controlling a temperature of cooling water (5) in a quench tank (4) by applying auxiliary cooling water (5) to the quench tank (4) by a water amount W (m3/hr) that satisfies Equations (1) and (2) as follows during quenching after reflowing in a continuous electrically tin-plating line: W = 0.63xEI/?T-7.53 ... (1), and ?T = T- Tcw ... (2), where E is a voltage (V) applied to the steel sheet (I) during reflowing, I is a current (kA) flowing through the steel sheet (I) during reflowing, T is a temperature (?C) of the cooling water (5) in the quench tank (4), Tcw is a temperature (?C) of the auxiliary cooling water (5). With this manufacturing method, generation of a quench stain caused by hunting of a cooling-water temperature when the manufacturing condition for the tinned steel sheet is changed may be suppressed.
