Abstract
[OBJECT] TO PROVIDE A CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION CAPABLE OF ENHANCING THE SERVICE LIFE AND TRANSMISSION EFFICIENCY WITH A COMPACT STRUCTURE. [CONSTRUCTION] AN INPUTTING MEMBER 12 IS CONNECTED TO A SUN GEAR OF A PLANETARY GEAR MECHANISM 14, AND AN OUTPUTTING MEMBER 13 IS CONNECTED TO A PLANETARY CARRIER 37. A ROTATION CONTROL MEMBER 16 HAS THE SAME ROTATIONAL AXIAL LINE AS THE INPUTTING MEMBER 12. THE ROTATION OF THE ROTATION CONTROL MEMBER 16 IN THE DIRECTION REVERSED TO THE ROTATIONAL DIRECTION OF THE INPUTTING MEMBER 12 IS RESTRAINED BY A ONE-WAY CLUTCH 18. A FIRST CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH 19, WHICH IS ENGAGED BASED ON THE ROTATIONAL SPEED OF THE INPUTTING MEMBER 12, IS PROVIDED BETWEEN THE ROTATION CONTROL MEMBER 16 AND THE RING GEAR 36 OF THE PLANETARY GEAR MECHANISM 14. A SECOND CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH 20, WHICH IS ENGAGED WHEN THE ROTATIONAL SPEED OF THE INPUTTING MEMBER 12 IS MORE THAN THE ROTATIONAL SPEED SPECIFYING THE ENGAGEMENT OF THE FIRST CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH 19, IS PROVIDED BETWEEN THE INPUTTING MEMBER 12 AND THE RING GEAR 36.
