A COMPONENT SYSTEM INCLUDES A SELECTOR CONNECTED TO AT LEAST ONE AUDIO COMPONENT (2), AT LEAST ONE VIDEO COMPONENT (3) INCLUDES A TELETEXT RECEIVER WHEREIN AUDIO AND VIDEO SIGNALS OUTPUT BY THE AUDIO (2) AND VIDEO COMPONENTS (3) AS WELL AS THE TELETEXT RECEIVER CAN BE SELECTED, AND WHEN AN OPERATION TO SWITCH FROM AN ALREADY SELECTED COMPONENT TO THE TELETEXT RECEIVER IS CARRIED OUT, A VIDEO SIGNAL (V 1) PRODUCED BY THE TELETEXT RECEIVER IS SELECTED AND OUTPUT WITH AN AUDIO SIGNAL(A1) PRODUCED BY THE PREVIOUSLY SELECTED COMPONENT REMAINING SELECTED AND OUTPUT, ALLOWING INFORMATION TRANSMITTED BY A TELETEXT TO BE OBTAINED WITHOUT INTERRUPTING THE AUDIO SIGNAL (AU BEING OUTPUT BY THE PREVIOUSLY SELECTED COMPONENT.
