Abstract
THIS DISCLOSURE DEPICTS A PROCESS FOR COATING A PHOSPHOR SLURRY ON THE INNER SURFACE OF A PHOSPHOR SCREEN OF A CRT. IN THE PROCESS, THE SUPPORT CARRIER (22) HELD THE PANEL (10) SWINGS WITHIN A PREDETERMINED ANGLE TO RECIPROCATE THE PANEL (10) WITHIN A PREDETERMINED DISTANCE WITH RELATION TO THE NOZZLE (11) EJECTING PHOSPHOR SLURRY (12), AND SAID PANEL (10) PREFERABLY RECIPROCATES WITHIN SAID PREDETERMINED DISTANCE IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THE PANEL (10) ADVANCES A PREDETERMINED DISTANCE, AND THEN RETURNS A DISTANCE WHICH IS SHORTER THAN THE ADVANCING DISTANCE, SO THAT THE ENTIRE SURFACE OF THE PHOSPHOR SCREEN IS EVENLY COATED.(FIG. 2)
