A SUBSTITUTED PYRIDINESULFONAMIDE COMPOUND HAVING THE FORMULA:(FORMULA 1)OR A SALT THEREOF, A HERBICIDAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME, AND A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME. THE COMPOUND OF THIS INVENTION HAS HERBICIDAL EFFECT AGAINST A VARIETY OF WEEDS, PARTICULARLY, AGAINST NOXIOUS WEEDS IN CORNS AND CAN BE EFFECTIVELY USED.
