Abstract

Se expone un aparato para determinar la colocacion de lentes correctivas de potencia progresiva. El aparato incluye un objeto tal como una pequeña fuente de luz de fibra optica (1228A) y una o más varillas de marcado, las cuales pueden activarse por el paciente. Aunque lleve puestas las estructuras pre-fijas (1246) y se fije en un objeto remoto, el paciente coloca la fuente de luz contra la superficie exterior de la lente y coloca luz a fin de que se centre en la línea de mira (94) del paciente. Una vez que se centra la luz, la varilla de marcado se activa, la cual contacta y marca la superficie exterior de la lente. Debido a que en algunas modalidades del aparato la fuente de luz y la varilla de marcado se diseñan para obstruir un poco la vision del paciente, su vision periférica permanece intacta durante el proceso.
