Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un electrodo de hierro revestido continuo nuevo empleando un aglutinante preferido comprendido de aglutinante de alcohol polivinílico (PVA). Específicamente, la invención comprende un electrodo a base de hierro que comprende una sola capa de un sustrato conductor revestido en por lo menos un lado con un revestimiento que comprende un material activo de hierro y un aglutinante, en donde el aglutinante es PVA. Este electrodo a base de hierro es útil en baterías recargables alcalinas, particularmente como un electrodo negativo en una batería de Ni-Fe.
