Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a composiciones novedosas de silicato de zirconio microporoso con una distribución de tamaño de partícula deseada y métodos para realizar dichas composiciones. Estas composiciones tienen una distribución de tamaño de partícula ideal para uso ex vivo, por ejemplo, en un cartucho de intercambio para diálisis, a la vez que mantienen muchas de las propiedades deseadas de los absorbentes mejorados anteriores, incluyendo la gran capacidad de intercambio catiónico. Adicionalmente, los nuevos absorbentes de tamiz molecular de silicato de zirconio se puedes fabricar usando una técnica que logra la distribución de tamaño de partícula deseada, a la vez que se elimina la etapa de clasificación que previamente era necesaria.
