Abstract
Se describen acrilatos de poliol que son los productos de reacción de un poliol modificado y un ácido (met) acrílico o derivado del mismo. Los polioles modificados utilizados en preparar los acrilatos de poliol son el producto de reacción de un aceite natural o ácido carboxílico graso o derivado de los mismos con un poliol seleccionado del grupo que consiste polioles de poliéter, polioles de poliéster, polioles de poliéster éter, y polialcoholes, de manera que el aceite natural o ácido carboxílico graso o derivado de los mismos es incorporado dentro de la estructura del poliol. Los acrilatos de poliol son utilizados para preparar dispersiones de pigmento que tienen dispersibilidad de pigmento mejorada, humectación de pigmento mejorada y tensión de fluencia menor comparados con las dispersiones de pigmento preparadas con acrilatos de poliol que no incorporan aceites naturales o ácidos carboxílicos grasos. Las dispersiones de pigmento cori particularmente útiles en formular composiciones de tinta curable por energía que tienen propiedades reológicas y de rendimiento mejoradas comparadas con otras composiciones de tinta. Los acrilatos de poliol también pueden ser utilizados como vehículos en descenso para formulaciones de tinta curable por energía.
