Abstract

La invención se refiere a un sistema de protección, configurado para conmutar entre tecnologías de red de retorno para mantener una comunicación en una red de retorno inalámbrica, a un nodo principal, a un nodo dependiente y a un método para conmutar entre tecnologías de red de retorno para mantener una comunicación. El sistema de protección (5) comprende un nodo principal (1) y un nodo dependiente (2), en donde el nodo principal (1) y un nodo dependiente (2) están configurados para comunicar uno con el otro a través de un canal de red de retorno (3), y una unidad de conmutación (4) configurada para seleccionar una tecnología de red de retorno para una comunicación a través de un canal de red de retorno (3) en donde por lo menos uno del nodo principal (1) y nodo dependiente (2) están configurados además para medir un parámetro de calidad del canal de red de retorno (3), en donde la unidad de conmutación (4) está configurada además para conmutar la tecnología de red de retorno seleccionada para la comunicación a través del canal de red de retorno (3) a una tecnología de red de retorno predefinida dependiente del parámetro de calidad medido. De esta manera, la disponibilidad de una red de retorno inalámbrica se incrementa y por lo tanto la probabilidad de interrupción de retorno disminuye en conexión con proveer un retorno más robusto.
